    Near to the falls, there is a power station which takes water from these falls for producing electricity. The amount of water in the falls began to reduce after the power station was installed in the region. Chunchi is dangerous as well causing accidents so that people are advised not to go closer to the falls. Tourists are not allowed to stay back after sunset near the falls since the region is very much deserted.
