About Sankey Tank
Sankey Tank is one of the refreshing hangout places in Bangalore which is a big man-made lake near to Sadashivanagar, Vyalikaval, and the area of Malleshwaram.
It was named after the maker of the lake who was Col. Richard Hieram Sankey in 1882 to provide a better water supply throughout Bangalore. Sankey Tank is an ideal place to celebrate some moments of serenity and solitude.
A wide variety of boat rides such as pedal boats, motor boats, rowboats etc is offered by the Mayura Sankey Boat Club that sets on the bank of the lake.
It is situated on the western side of Bangalore over an area of 37.5 acres. It is best-visited post monsoon to witness the lush vegetation in the backdrop while you boat around this gigantic lake.

Price: INR 10 for adults and INR 5 for children. One can also opt boating which is INR 10 per person.
