This is a really good trek for beginners. The instructors are very helpful. The tour was fun. You'll not be disappointed at all. One of the must go places if you're looking for a one day trip. The view is amazing both at night as wellas at the time of sunrise. It was a really great experience overall.

The Winter season in Anthargange starts from December and goes on till February, Monsoon stays from June to November and finally the summer will show its effects from March to May. However, the best time to visit is from October onwards till March end.

Anthargange trek is in the Kolar district of Karnataka in the Shathashrugna range. Anthargange Trekking It is one of the most famous and desired adventure sports near the metro city Bangalore. The trek takes you to a height of 1712 metres, it will take you through rocky and tricky roads and you may have to crawl at times as well.
There are primarily two ways of reaching Anthargange. Firstly, you can reach via Train. You need to reach the Kolar railway station which is just 3 kilometres away from Anthargange and it will take you hardly 15-20 minutes to cover this short journey.
Secondly, you can travel via flight, which is the most preferred option used by the tourists. Catch a flight to Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) and then you can take a cab from there till Anthargange via Kolar.
Banglore is at a distance of 65 Kilometres from Anthargange. The best and most preferred way from Bangalore to Anthargange is travelling via road. While travelling via road you can choose from either of the ways, first one goes via NH4 which will take around 1 hour and 34 minutes to cover and second way which goes via NH4 and NH7 and can be completed in 2 hours total.
Antaragange is a mountain which is a part of Shathashrunga mountain range in Southeast part of Karnataka, Kolar district. Anthargange is widely popular for its holy temple of Shiva.The name Anthargange literally means “Ganges from the deep '' or “Inner stream” in Kanada language.
The Sri Kashi Vishweshwara temple is the famous Shiva in Antharagange, also known as Kashi of South. Inside the temple you will find this mysterious flow of water from the mouth of a Basava (Bull stone).

The Anthargange Trek and caving is a short duration trek which will take around 30 minutes - 45 minutes to cover the 3 kilometres. But the fun doesn’t end with the trek only. Here at Anthargange trek you can also enjoy adventure sports.

The gate of Anthargange welcomes you with a temple. You have to climb 200 steps to reach the temple complex. This temple is the source of Anthargange, a holy and mysterious place of the source of water coming from beneath the rocks.
From the temple there is a 2 minute walk to begin your journey of Anthargange trekking. Then after trekking on a moderate climb for 45 minutes you will be welcomed by the villagers who reside in the group of 7 villages atop hills.
At this place you can explore caves and even spend a night in the camps if you wish. Lastly you will reach at the top and will have a great view of Kolar district.
Anthargange trekking journey will take around 6 kilometres, about 4 hours to complete. The trek is moderately difficult and it will take you through rocky paths, cave sites, and volcanic formations. You need to have moderate fitness level to complete this trek.
During summers (March to May) Anthargange remains hot, with temperatures ranging from 22 degree Celsius to 37 degree Celsius. During summers it is not recommended to visit this place because of extreme heat and humidity.
Monsoon (June to November) is the most preferable season to visit here as the temperature remains cold and rain provides a good relief from the heat. During winter (December to February) the temperature stays cold and drops down till 19 degree Celsius with a maximum of 32 degree Celsius.
Minimum age for Anthargange trek is 12 years old.
