One of the good but difficult trekking spots of Karnataka. The resting place available is about half way at Bhattaramane. Starting point is behind the Kukke Subrahmanya temple. We had gone in a group of 20 people aged 6 to 66 years. All family members. On the way you come across, Kallu Mantapa, Shesha Parvatha and then Kumara Parvatha we enjoyed a well diversified trek with my family and friends.

This is one of the best treks that I had taken up in my life. I came to Bangalore to meet some friends and happened to go for this night trek. The pleasing smell from the nearby coconut trees are still tempting me to go on this trek again. Lively and lovely night trek. Its a wonderful experience and specially the view from the top. Soon making another trip to Bangalore.

This was a really nice trip. Firstly, this place is close by Bangalore and very much in driving distance. Secondly, the adventure activities are well-organized. They are safe too. This way it is very easy and convenient for us to blindly trust and do this. Also, most of the adventurous activities didn’t require much background skills like swimming or gym training. It was meant for everyone.

It really matters what you are expecting from the spot. Best time is go just after rainy season to enjoy fog & green carpet over the mountain. Good trekking area. We saw few peacocks crossing road and went into shrubs. We still regret that we could not trek to peak; due to chilled weather and we didn’t equipped for the trek also. Trekking through secluded villages, evergreen forest teeming with waterfalls and streams and open grassland patches was a once in life time experience.

National parks are always great way of understanding the wildlife, me and my friends decided to go to kabini for the safari. the tour was just perfect, 3 days of staying in wild and going for 3 safari. it was great to spot different animals. the only sad part was we couldnt spot the tiger which we really wanted to. our guide was actually good, he had good knowledge about the area and he tried his best to spot one tiger but were really unlucky but otherwise it was a very well organised trip and had great time in the forest!

The trek was awesome. I had a really great time. Pros: The trekking was in budget. Since it is in Chikmagalur, we planned out travel in such a way that the whole trip covered most of the places nearby, and we did have a great fun with jungle stays, estate stays, forest walks, plantation walks, etc. It was a good week spent here. Also this place is very affordable to stay. I would definitely wanna visit here again sooner. Cons: That being said, the food here is not that great.

My batch mates and I had planned to go for Dubare river rafting last monsoon when the water levels of the river Kaveri rises making this picturesque place in Karnataka the dream destination for adventure lovers such as myself. It was an stunning experience for me as solo traveler. Location is in 16 km cut from Madikeri towards Talakaveri and last 3 km pathway is very much into the forest and you will be enjoying that. Location is untapped by many and road in the last stretch is not so comfortable and that is the beauty of the place. The place is very much into the forest and you wont here any sound other than birds, leaves and wind. No Wifi and Network is very weak and that's exactly what we need when we are in holidays. Temperature is damn low at night and camp fire sets the mood for it to enjoy. Tent sleep is a different experience for me and i am sure it would be the same for all. Water stream flows nearby and we can go and pass time there. Morning, we walked around 2 Km into the forest to see a jungle falls which is icing on the cake. Trekking path is also untouched by many i believe. Also you can coffee estate to walk around. No need to mention that food is very delicious and so are services. On a whole, I am sure it would be a complete package for a camp day or two. if it is Coorg, this should be your stay place. I landed at thrillophilia accidentally and it is a needed one. If i want to say in Rajini style, "Magizhchi"

This can be a great trek for people who are just starting off. Swamy and Team followed all the standard operating procedures of a trek.Gave directions, One lead , one was with the group and the other towards the end. Sleeping bags were given and in good condition. They lit up a bonfire at the cliff as well. Overall, they did a decent job managing the group though it almost became a 'crowd'. They were also very tolerant to some noisy people and handled the whole thing with ease. Swamy's Team was very energetic and chatty which made the trek back down all the more interesting. We stopped at a decent hotel for breakfast on our way back. Food was great for the starved stomach! The cost of 990 includes the breakfast. However, I feel Thrillophilia & Swamy & Team can work towards a better pricing. Not to forget, the booking experience at Thrillophilia was hassle free and well coordinated. The only downside would be that Swamy & team weren't punctual. Me and my friends were waiting for over a 1.5 hours at Hebbal from the stipulated time! If they improve on the punctuality quotient , they can be great! Overall a nice experience!

Trek was nice but so much of tiring :) whoever is planning for this trek i would like to suggest them to do few stretching exercises at-least for 3-4 days before this trek. Relaxing on peak of Skandagiri under sky roof along with Stars and camp fire was superb :) Thrillophilia is all safe and reliable and organized :) Even I went alone in a group , got good accompany . You will find decent crowd. Sujay our trek leader was nicely coordinating with everyone. Some Tips :- 1. Do stretching exercise before 2-3 days of actual trek 2. Wear Trekking Shoes only 3. Do not wear Jeans as there are so many Rocky patches to climb up. 4. Carry Winter Jacket and cap as early morning you will find its tough time to survive from cold :) 5. Torch by default for Night Trek 6. Try to keep your bag light weighted as much as possible. Overall experience was nice.
