Another theory is that the presence of the ancient temple dedicated to Nandi on the face of this hill has led to the entire area being called Nandi Hill. Before the hill-fortress came to be known as Nandi Hill, it was known as Anandagiri or the Hill of Happiness during the reign of the Cholas.

Can we go to Nandi Hills in the evening?

Even though Nandi Hills is open till 10:00 pm, it is only for people to access the area if they are staying or putting up at a hotel.

It was a nice experience staying inside Tent and felt comfortable staying. Dinner and breakfast were good. Had a good trekking experience and indoor games. We went on weekdays and no other visitors were present. Check photos for more experience.
