It would be wise to visit Aquaria KLCC Kuala Lumpur when you reach Kuala Lumpur City Center. It is one of the places where you experience witnessing aquatic animals in their natural habitat. Besides, since you have come to KLCC to enjoy the view from the twin towers, why not visit this amazing place that is in close proximity. It is located beneath the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center and is sprawled in areas of 60,000 sq feet.
This expedition to the underwater creatures will dazzle you as you will be toe to toe with them. This walk in the tunnel will familiarize you with numerous species of fishes, sharks, stingrays, turtles and a lot more. You also get an opportunity to interact with some of the sea creatures, such as starfish and sea cucumbers. The Gene Pool has been designed for this purpose. How to get there:
Walking from Point of Interest
-From Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), walk downwards from the main entrance located along Jalan Pinang to get to Aquaria KLCC.
-From the Suria KLCC Shopping Centre, take a 5-minute walk through the connecting tunnels between the lower ground level of the shopping center and KLCC.
-From KLCC Park, walk to the West Entrance of KLCC and connect to Aquaria from there
Public Transportation By Rapid KL
-Take the Kelana Jaya line to Suria KLCC station.
-From the station, enter Suria KLCC and walk through the underpass tunnel beside Maybank to the KLCC.
-Walk for 5 minutes through the tunnel to Aquaria KLCC.
-Get off at the Suria KLCC Bus stop.
-Make your way to the underpass tunnel beside Maybank.
- Last admission: 7:00pm.
-Child ticket: Age 3-12.
-Free entry for infants under 3 years old.
-Wheelchairs available upon request.

There are various package options which can help you explore Aquaria KLCC. It can be availed as a private tour. These packages include tickets to Aquaria KLCC. The admission price tickets for adults is Rs 527 and for kids (age 3-12 years old) is 371. For foreigners, the admission price tickets for adults is Rs 671 and for kids (age 3-12 years old) is Rs 513.
There are different ways to reach here from Kuala Lumpur City Centre. The various ways which you can opt for are:
Walk: One can walk from the Concourse Level of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) at the main entrance along Jalan Pinang. West Entrance through the underpass tunnel connecting from the Concourse Level of Suria KLCC (next to Maybank) to Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. West Entrance via the KLCC Park leading to Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Bus: By stopping at the Impiana KLCC bus stop one can reach here. Other route via bus is to take the KL Hop-On-Hop-Off Double Decker Tour Bus Service, Stop at the KLCC Garden Park stop (West Wing KL Convention Centre).
By Light Rapid Transit (LRT): Tourists can take the PUTRA Line and disembark at the KLCC station.
By Monorail: One can board the KL Monorail and get off at the Raja Chulan station. The KL Convention Centre is just a short walk from here.
The child ticket can be taken at Aquaria KLCC Kuala Lumpur if your child is between the ages of 3 to 12 years. However, the price for child tickets differ whether you are a citizen or a foreigner. For infants between the age of 0-2, there is free entry at Aquaria KLCC. The price for Aquaria KLCC Tickets are same during weekdays, weekends, school holidays, and public holidays without any changes.
The timing of Aquaria KLCC Kuala Lumpur is from 10:00 am in the morning to 8:00 pm in the night. It is open during public holidays also from Monday to Sunday. However, if you want to see it, the last admission of tourists with Aquaria KLCC Ticket is at 7:00 pm.
Aquaria KLCC Kuala Lumpur is located in the heart of the Golden Triangle and can be found at a walking distance from the Petronas Twin Towers. The address is Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Complex, Jalan Pinang, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, 50088, W.P. Kuala Lumpur.
KLCC Aquaria is open to visit everyday from Monday to Sunday. It remains open on public holidays also. However, there are extra queues where you may have to stand in for long hours if you are going there on holidays and weekends. The timing to visit is between 10:00 am in the morning to 8:00 pm in the night.
The e-ticket can be redeemed when you produce it to them at the entrance of Aquaria KLCC. The Aquaria KLCC Ticket cannot be cancelled or refunded.
There are more than 5000 exhibits of both underwater and terrestrial life which you can see with Aquaria KLCC Ticket. It can be found in the 90-meter transparent underwater tunnel in the vast aquarium here. The underwater tunnels allows you to have a peek into a number of fishes, sharks, stingrays, etc.
There are different feeding schedules among which you can choose from when you are at Aquaria KLCC. Every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, one can enjoy feeding Arapaima in the Flooded Forest at 2:30 pm. This is level 2 feeding and another feeding time on these days is when you can feed the sharks in the Aquatheatre. This activity can be enjoyed at 5:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The next feeding activity is scheduled at 11:30 am for feeding the Japanese Spider crab in the Deep Sea on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
There is one souvenir store which you can find in the complex of Aquaria KLCC. The store offers everything from clothing, toys, stuffed animals, fridge magnets, pearl bracelets and keychains to the tourists. However, if you are looking for cheap souvenirs, going there will probably be a bad idea.
