Anthargange Trek And Caving With Durga Hill Climb
About the Destination:
One of the most stunning and gorgeous hill range in the Kolar district of Karnataka, Antaragange rises up to a height of 4,021ft. One of the most sought after adventure destinations in the state, it also appeals the adventure junkies looking for one day trek around Bangalore and also quenches all their yearnings for fun and adventure. Besides trekking near Bangalore, Antaragange also serves as a popular destination for rock climbing and several other exciting activities.
On the other hand, the Durga Hill boasts of its serene and tranquil beauty. Located close to the Antaragange Temple, it entices the holiday seekers with its viewpoints that offers magical views from the summit.
About the Activity with Details:
After assembling at the decided pick-up point in Bangalore at around 06:00AM, embark on an early morning drive towards the Antaragange Hill; breakfast will be served on the way. Following your arrival at the destination at around 10:00AM, attend the briefing session by the tour facilitators and instructors. Once you are done with the briefing session, it will be time to begin the trek to the Antaragange Temple.
Trial through the rugged, uneven and barren trails till you reach the temple site. Reaching the pious temple, seek blessings from the Gods and proceed towards the Launchpad Point and enjoy the stunning views of the underneath valley and the surroundings before you start trekking towards the Durga Hill.
Advancing towards the hill, you will be reaching the Devil's horn, a huge rock that resembles the shape of a horn.
Here onwards, the Antargange trek will continue through a boulder trails and you can enjoy rock climbing and bouldering in here. Starting from this point, you can either chose to climb these boulders and reach the peak, or you can prefer passing through the caves that are formed due to the irregular placements of the massive boulders.
Passing through either of these enthralling routes, you will finally reach the Durga Hill peak, where you will witness a pristine lake resulting from the accumulation of the rain-waters between the rocks. Enjoy the panoramic views from the top and relish over the packed lunch at the summit.
Post this, start trekking back to the base, and on arrival, start your return journey towards Bangalore by around 05:00 in the evening; expect to reach the city by 08:00PM.
