    Elephant Trekking

Riding an elephant in Thailand is one of the most sought after “bucket-list” activities. Touring the dense forests of Thailand and taking part in a ritualistic elephant bathing session can all prove to be lots of fun.  Recently though there has been a lot of controversy against elephant trekking on the basis of animal cruelty and unethical treatment of elephants along with abuse towards these beautiful  animals. There is an equally enthralling alternative to this horrible use of elephants.

Floating markets are located throughout Bangkok and the surrounding provinces of Bangkok and they are extremely popular to visit on the weekends for both locals and foreigners. The 100-year-old markets are now essentially a floating souvenir stand filled with package tourists. Highlights: The biggest attraction to a floating market in Thailand is the food that is cooked and served directly from a boat floating in the canal. You can also find a lot of random trinket shopping and good places to walk around.
