Tørrfisk also reflects Norway's historical dependence on the sea for food, which makes it an integral part of the Norwegian diet.

4. Fårikål: As the national dish of Norway, Fårikål, which is a straightforward yet appetising dish of mutton and cabbage, deserves special mention. Once cooked, it is then served with boiled potatoes and flatbread, resulting in a wholesome, satisfying meal.

5. Sodd: Sodd is a traditional soup from western Norway and provides a warming and filling experience that you must try during your trip to Norway. The dish first originated from the central part of Norway, and is often referred to as the "national dish of Trøndelag". It consists of mutton or beef, along with meatballs or dumplings made from potatoes and flour. The meat and dumplings are first boiled separately and then served together, usually with a generous ladle of rich, flavourful broth.

6. Waffles: When in Norway, you must take some time out to try the country’s spin on the waffle, locally known as Vafler. This is a relatively lighter and crispier version than its Belgian counterpart, and is typically served with an assortment of toppings like jam and sour cream. These waffles can also be tried as a light meal or snack.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Journey through the Nordic Wonders with Thrillophilia Our recent trip to the Nordic countries—including Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark—arranged through Thrillophilia was nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, immersive, and deeply memorable. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed to include a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural insights, and urban experiences. From the surreal Blue Lagoon in Iceland to charming cobbled streets of Gamla Stan in Stockholm to the pristine fjords of Norway—every moment was picture-perfect. Thrillophilia’s local coor... Norway part was excellent. The only problem that we were traveling on an average 500 kms every day which was little too much for elderly people. However I will recommend this tour to everyone

We recently planned our Norway and Finland trip with Thrillophilia, and it turned out to be a really memorable experience. The hotels were comfortable and well-located, making it easy to get around and explore nearby areas. Transfers and arrangements were handled efficiently, so we didn’t have to worry about logistics at all. The Thrillophilia team stayed supportive throughout the trip, always available to help whenever needed, which made the experience stress-free.

A Dream Nordic Trip with Thrillophilia My husband and I had been planning a Norway and Denmark trip for three years. Thrillophilia made it happen and beyond our expectations. Hotels were well located in each city and the itinerary gave enough free time to explore on our own which we appreciated. Guide was knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the places. Suggestion a bit more proactive communication during the initial planning stage would have been helpful. But once the trip started, everything was absolutely seamless. We return with hearts full of memories. Will plan Iceland with Thrillophilia next.

We did Europe trip covering Norway and Denmark through Thrillophilia. One thing I would say is the itinerary was provided mostly by us through back and forth discussion rather than Thrillophilia proactively proposing a structure, which added some effort on our side during planning. On the ground everything executed well. Hotels were good. Would travel with them again.

Scandinavia with Finland group tour was one of the most enjoyable trips I've done in a group format. The free Skyview Gondola tickets in Stockholm were a lovely surprise and the views from the top were stunning. Finland's winter activities - huskies, snowmobiles and the aurora - were highlights nobody in our group will forget. Great company, great destinations and very smooth logistics throughout the entire trip.

Norwegian fjords are something your brain struggles to process as real - they are just too beautiful. The Flåm railway and Nærøyfjord cruise were both absolute standouts in an already outstanding itinerary.

We went in April to avoid the peak summer crowds and it was a very good decision. The Geiranger fjord cruise had very few other boats and the Seven Sisters waterfall was on full spring volume. Flam Railway through the mountain was one of the most beautiful train journeys we have taken. Stockholm and Copenhagen in spring with the parks starting to green up. Thrillophilia had chosen hotels within walking distance of the main areas in each city which meant we could use evenings well without depending on taxis. 12 days and every transition was smooth.

9 day Scandinavian trip from Delhi, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Bergen, Flam. Each city had its own personality and Thrillophilia had planned the transitions between them so smoothly. The Bergen funicular up to Floyen for the fjord panorama was breathtaking. Flam Railway is genuinely one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. The whole trip felt curated, not mass-touristy.
