Raya island is the farthest from the coast of Phuket, the marine life around Raya Island is vibrant, full of life and, the most important thing, it is isolated and untouched. A dive here will bring you close to large groups of barracuda, cuttlefish and even rays. This dive site is suitable for both professional and uncertified divers, especially because of the support staff here.
As you will have a guest ratio of 4:1, and the service provided is by a German run company, security and safety will be the first priority at all times, no matter you are experienced or a beginner. Accompanied by an instructor who is highly trained and has passed a high standard of skill tests, etc ensuring you can enjoy to the fullest without being worried about your safety.

What are the timings for Scuba diving in Phuket?
The general timing to do Scuba diving in Phuket starts from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. But, one needs to get ready at least 7.00 am in the morning at your hotel. There is pickup option available at your convenience. So, once you come down to the hotel waiting room, you will be taken directly to the starting point. After having a nice breakfast, you could start your scuba diving activity along with your family or friends. As there are two diving spots, the second diving place will be taken only after a lunch break. If you book on a Sunday, you may get a delicious meal for dinner as well.
Can we see the marine life while scuba diving in Phuket?
Yes. There are many diving spots at Pattaya and Raya Island which offers a wide range of marine species to witness, especially coral reefs, planktons and small beautiful fishes around. Since these places are hidden from the outside world, scuba divers didn’t explore it much and left undiscovered. One can find a large group of barracuda, cuttlefish, rays, and sometimes zebra sharks. But, the divers are advised to wait and not get closer to the species until the instructor or guide gives a green signal. At some places, you are allowed to touch, feel, and play with the big fishes without panicking. In case of an emergency, the instructor is at your immediate rescue.
Can we take kids with us for Scuba diving?
Yes. You can take kids with you for Scuba diving, but he or she must have attained a minimum age of 12 years. Furthermore, children should be accompanied by an adult who is not diving. However, they can join the trip at a discounted rate. Due to health and safety reasons, a minimum age limit was set by the instructors as some kids may easily get panicked by seeing a big fish coming across. Here, the child is provided with adequate training on water, and then the necessary equipment for scuba diving. Once they feel comfortable with the water, they will be taken to the diving spot.
Is scuba diving in Phuket safe?
Scuba Diving is totally safe as long as the diver follows the given instructions and training, uses adequate safety gears, and dives with full confidence. As an organization, we take extra care of our travellers by providing well-checked safety equipment, professionally trained scuba diving instructors, and proper instructions. Here, the instructor will guide you where to go and where not to go. This adventurous water sport seems to be thrilling yet challenging. The aquatic species usually hide or move away from you. Luckily, there is no swimming required for scuba diving, so even a beginner can enjoy this sport limitlessly.
Do you provide diving equipments?
Yes, obviously you will be provided with diving equipments. There will be a snorkel gear which includes a mask to protect your face, fins for your feet to swim like a fish, followed by water weights and tanks. All the mentioned diving equipments are in the inclusions, so you no need to worry anymore. Before using it, you should be aware of snorkels that it helps the diver to save air when s/he reaches the surface and acts as essential safety gear. Apart from that, the participants are requested to bring a pair of dry clothes, a towel, and a face wash (if necessary).
What’s the duration of the dive?
In the first diving spot, you can spend about 45 minutes to 1 hour, enjoying the sea world and embracing its colourful creations. After that, you will be served with a protein-rich lunch that gives you enough energy to explore the second place. Meanwhile, you can consume fresh fruits, tea or coffee. In the second diving spot, you can take as much as 1 hour time, but divers generally finish it soon and reach the surface within 45 minutes. Actually, based on the water tank capacity, body stamina and depth of water, one can extend or reduce his/her duration accordingly.
Can we go for Scuba Diving in Phuket on weekend?
Yes. Scuba Diving activity in Phuket is open on both weekdays and weekends. Since it is attracted by all kinds of travellers, it is available on all days in a year. One can plan his activity well in advance and enjoy the wonderful vistas of nature under the sea. Please remember that scuba diving might be stopped temporarily due to safety reasons. During bad weather or water disturbance, the adventurers or any other experts are not allowed to delve into the water. If you book for Scuba Diving on a Sunday, you can avail the dinner as well other than breakfast and lunch.
Do you provide an underwater camera?
Unfortunately, there is no underwater camera provided to tourists. But, one can bring his/her own underwater camera and seize the pristine beauty of aquatic species and its environment. Before purchasing an underwater camera, make sure it has a high-quality lens, extensive battery, waterproof capacity, number of mega-pixel, and lastly easy to handle. It is recommended to go for the best-selling product rather than a standard one.
How to reach for Scuba diving in Phuket?
To indulge in Scuba diving, one needs to arrive at the starting point mentioned in the itinerary. In this case, the travellers are picked up by the staffs at their hotels and headed directly to the starting point. And, once the activity is over, they will be dropped back to their destination safely. Please note that pickup is available only from Patong, Karon, and Kata. If you’re located in a totally different location, you need to contact the tour coordinator well in advance and check for other options. Since the place is well-connected with roads, one can have a hassle-free journey via cab or a bus.
How many divers are there in one group?
Based on the availability of instructors, boats, scuba diving equipments, and other factors, one group contains a certain number of divers. There is no minimum or maximum number given as such. Since this recreational sport is open to all age groups who are above 12, there can be as much as participants join and experience some astonishing moments with sea creatures. But, there should be at least two adults required to kick-start the journey for the day. Mostly, family trippers, friends in group take part in the activity; similarly, honeymooners will go on a sharing basis.
