  • 01Freedom Beach

    Freedom beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket and the least accessible too. If you are in a mood for beach trek through the thick jungles near the beach, you can only reach via boat. The whole beach is elongated on a private bay and consists of beautiful powdery white sand, a perfect place for long beach walks.  The beach is surrounded by the hills and thick jungle, giving you a feeling of a hideaway on the beach.

    Highlights: No sports activities are done here to spoil the peaceful atmosphere on the beach. On the south end of the beach, there are various authentic restaurants to carve your hunger. You can even rent a lounger and relax on the top of the beach under the coconut palms.

    Getting There:
    The only option to reach Freedom beach is via boat. You can catch a long-tail boat from the south end of Patong Beach.

  • 02Art in Paradise

    Art in Paradise is a fun and fresh take on an art gallery that has closed the divide between art and spectator with three-dimensional paintings that are interactive and laugh-out-loud funny. Through
    clever use of shading and borders, artists have painted directly on to walls to create stunning images that trick our eyes. The gallery has over 100 individual art pieces in ten themed sections, covering optical illusions, wild animals, nature, past civilizations and reproductions of classic art along with witty ones.

  • 03Kata Beach

    The pleasant bay of Kata, just a few minutes south of Karon Beach, entices and charms many visitors with its white sands and clear waters. Very popular with families, Kata is an all round favourite due to its spectacular palm-lined beach, great restaurants, lively but not raucous nightlife and varied accommodation options - all close to the beach. Visitors will find an abundance of shops to browse in, from souvenir and ready-to-wear outlets, to 7-Elevens and local mini-marts, to branded fashion stores.

  • 04Laem Singh Beach

    Laem Singh Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket, for those who love to spend time with azure water, golden sand, and backdrop of thick palm trees on a sunny day. Located between Kamala and Surin beaches on the west coast, this stunning beach seems hidden beneath the thicket of palm trees with large boulders scattered around.

Those who are looking for water sports can enjoy snorkeling, boarding, jet skiing, water skiing and even banana boat ride.   • 05Nai Harn Beach

    Nai Harn is one of the island's most popular places with in-the-know locals. Great for swimming from November to April, care should be taken in the low season (May-October) when there can be strong undertows. The local restaurants just above the beach make a great place to relax with a sun downer. Further south is Ya Nui, a sandy cove that attracts snorkelers and divers. Another out-of-the way spot nearby is the tiny beach of Ao Sane, a great spot for snorkeling, reached by taking the road that starts at The Royal Phuket Yacht Club car park.

    Activities: Snorkeling and swimming are the two best pass time’s people partake in whilst on this beach. 

    Best Time to Visit:  Anytime apart from monsoon season is ideal to visit this beach and take part in a wide array of fun activities. Forget swimming during low season as that can prove to slightly dangerous.

  • 06Nai Thon Beach

    Located on the west coast of Phuket, Nati Thon Beach is one of the obscure beaches. It is a haven for those who are looking to spend some time away from the crowd with the emerald water, warm sand and tall palm trees. During the high season, you can enjoy swimming in crystal clear water, savour Thai delicacies of the beach restaurants, laze under the bright coloured umbrellas with refreshing drinks or walk barefoot on the smooth sand. The Dive shops on the beach can be contacted for Scuba Diving, to watch the activities of exotic sea life. Or you can also hire a long tail boat to explore the beautiful caves surrounded by rocks.

  • 07Bang Tao Beach

  • 09Shop while enjoing the beach air

    Patong Beach transforms into an extensive night bazaar as the night approaches, it’s a wild market, and however, is all the more fun if you approach with the right character - simply recall that shopping yields the best results when done happily and with a grin. The majority of the shops here aim to attract the foreign/international tourists, so costs are somewhat higher than they are in Phuket City. The prime night market sprawls down the beach road and into the little optional soil (paths) on all evenings of the week. Right in front of Paradise Complex, another business sector sets up 2-3 evenings a week, in high season, more often than not Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Loads of stuff are aimed to attract the teenage or the youth section of the travellers - recycled pants, offbeat shoes and garments, additionally Thai desserts, orchids, adornments and hair accessories. The hawkers begin setting up this market at around 6-7pm until late.

  • 10Karon Beach

    Karon features the third longest beach on Phuket Island. Located on the west coast, between Patong to the north and Kata (with which it shares a common municipality) to the south, Karon Beach is the  second favorite holiday destination in Phuket. Karon Beach road is ideal for taking an evening stroll and is mostly occupied by large resorts interrupted by restaurants and shops (including the popular Karon Bazaar). Karon is centered on Luang Poh Chuan Road, towards the southern end of the beach, which houses excellent restaurants and the ‘hottest’ nightlife spot of the resort town. Here the sea is calm throughout the dry season and the sand is fine and powdery.

  • 11Nai Yang Beach

    With one of the longest beach line on the northern coast of Phuket, Nai Yang Beach boasts of clear blue water, warm sand and fringed casuarina trees. With warm tropical atmosphere and shaded area with a number of beach restaurants and bars, this place is ideal for spending leisure time. Located right next to Sirinath National Park, this beach gives a perfect opportunity to picnic under the shadow of trees and play in the water.   • 13Ao Sane Beach

    Located at the southwest coast, the little Ao Sane Beach is a perfect location away from the crowded beaches of Phuket. This idyllic beach is perfect to spend cosy time under the shades of trees. Just rent the beach chairs and spend time talking and laughing with family, reading, or simply being. For adventure lovers, there are diving and snorkelling opportunity in this beautiful beach. There are small wooden bungalows on rent which gives the beautiful view of this exotic beach and feel of the sultry tropical environment. The only restaurant in the beach serves you delicious yet cheap cuisine.

    : A great secluded beach popular among returning travellers provide a tranquil and serene environment away from the hubbub of crowded beaches. An ideal spot for diving and snorkelling, however, you will have to bring your own mask and fins. Enjoy fine dining at Le Royal Meridien Phuket Yacht Club.

  • 14Panwa Beach

    Those who love the beaches just for its beauty and tranquillity will find Panwa Beach a safe retreat from other noisy beaches of Phuket. Covering the west coast of Cape Panwa, this beach is just five miles away from Phuket town. The beach is yet unexplored and is only visited by those who are looking to find peace and natural surroundings. The water here is shallow and not apt for swimming, however, you can take an early morning stroll or spend a lazy afternoon under the shades, enjoying the food and drink from nearby beach restaurants. Stay at one of the beautiful resorts or visit to the nearby attractions of Panwa View Point and Panwa Aquarium.

  • 15Haad Pak Phra Beach

    Located near the Sarasin Bridge, Haad Pak Phra beach is one exotic location with superb tropical setting. It is one of the least visited beaches in Phuket and a great place to taste and shop for fresh seafood. One of the most intriguing sights you will see on this beach is a number of local women and children knee deep in the pool of dried white jellyfish laughing and chatting exuberantly. Some people may not be able to stand the smell, but if you get past it, you will realize that you are watching one of the rarest things in the world. The beach is a great place to enjoy the best seafood cuisines. Tanoon Seafood restaurant also offers water sports facilities.

    : If you find yourself unperturbed with the smell and jellyfish sting, you might even ask the locals to have a dip in the pool of white jellyfish.

  • 16Pansea Beach

    Set between the beautiful tropical backdrop with long stretch of white and soft sand and turquoise water, Pansea Beach is an isolated beach on the west coast of Phuket. A small cape isolates the beach from the livelier Surin Beach. The beautiful coconut and other exotic trees this beach is a perfect example of tropical beaches. There are water sports centre, restaurants which serve delicious meals and drinks, massage huts and sun loungers in the beach for you to spend enjoyable moments with friends and family. The lapping ocean offers great snorkelling opportunities for those who love water sports. Inflatable airbeds are also available on rent to soak yourself in sun while floating on azure water.

  • 17Ao Yon Beach

    Ao Yon is a hushed and isolated beach located between Panwa beach and Cape Panwa. This quiet beach has a long stretch of warm sand and clear blue water with tropical setting. Set between tall palm trees, this place is a great place to relax under the sun alone or with your family. There are a few restaurants in the beach that serve you delicious meals. On several occasions the locals practice the Dragon Boat race which is quite a sight to behold. Just take a barefoot stroll on the warm sand or relax under the shades with refreshing drinks.

    Another private and isolated beach in Phuket is Tri Trang Beach which has the beautiful setting of tropical environment located just three kilometres from Patong. If you are staying at Merlin Beach Resort, you can enjoy the beauty of this isolated beach. Nestled between the grassy hills on the south, this beach has stretches of white sand and tranquil water. You can go for snorkelling or swimming in the clear blue water or simply laze around under the shades of palm trees and colourful umbrellas.
