The view was marvelous and the cloud cover was so dense that nothing could be seen. Then suddenly the clouds started moving and within a few seconds it was clear. Trekking in Bangalore is also done around this place.   

    About the place: Back in the 90s, it was lovers’ paradise as college students used to find respite from the prying eyes and now it's overlooked by Bangaloreans who rush to Ooty and Kodaikanal. However, tourists realize how rejuvenating a romantic visit to these hills can be.  

    Location: An ancient hill fortress in southern India, it’s in the Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka state. Its 10 km from the Chikkaballapur town and approximately 60 km from the city of Bangalore.Timings are from 6AM to 10PM. It’s really crowded during weekends so plan your trip accordingly.

    This garden is a home to a variety of flora and fauna. It has a glass house, an aquarium and a lake which adds to the beauty of the garden. It holds the largest collection of tropical plants in India and it also attracts lot of tourists which makes it a famous tourist spot. Flower shows are held on Independence Day and Republic Day. Then there is a “Mango Mela”, in the month of June, in which different varieties of mangoes are sold. There are stalls that sell products related to horticulture like flowers and plants and even gardening equipment. Certain fruit juices, sweet and savories of Karnataka are also sold.

    Location: Situated in Mavalli, Bangalore, you may reach here by air, rail or road. It is 35 km from the airport, around 6 kms from majestic railway station from where one can easily get a taxi or a bus to the garden. It’s open from 6 AM to 6 PM.

I’d like to call it a hidden gem among all the places to be visited in Bangalore. The couple may peacefully enjoy each other’s company.     Location: Located in the midst of Elephant corridors, it’s a heaven for bird watchers and one of the quaintest places to visit. The serene waters attract hundreds of birds especially at dawn. In the closest village sericulture is practiced which is another notable attraction at Thattekere. It is 60 km from Bangalore, towards south and you may reach here via Bannerghatta Road as well as Kanakapura road. Don’t forget to carry food and water with you as no facilities are available nearby.

    One of the biggest lakes in Bangalore, is located on the eastern side of the country. It draws its name from the locality it is situated in. Although it’s not fit for swimming, boating can still be done. The beauty of the lake is enhanced by the presence of several  islands dotting  it. Sitting on all the huge rides was an insane experience.

It’s a decent lounge where you will find good food at inexpensive prices. It has a jaw dropping rooftop ambience and trust us when we say that? We really mean it’s that fantastic! Apart from that they also have DJ and outdoor comfortable seating arrangement. It serves good North Indian and Italian food. Staff is friendly and services are fine. Recommendation: Book a table in advance for the weekend.

    One of the best dining places for couples in Bangalore and my personal favorite, this is a fine dining restaurant  which serves amazing Afghani, Lebanese, Mediterranean food.  Staff is friendly and the look and feel of the place is all appreciable. Full bar is available with outdoor seating, rooftop and buffet. The giant pint of beer for 255 INR approx. is available. This is one the very few places in the country where you can order Iranian Caviar. The services offered are exceptionally nice and the place is really hygienic. The Food is average but the Look and Feel is better.
