Infirmary Museum Overview

The Infirmary Museum is an interactive exhibition put together around various scientific and technology related subjects. The Museum is put up in the premises of the University of Worcester’s City Campus, even though it touches upon a number of different themes but the highlight still remains to be the exploration of medical stories of England’s oldest Infirmary.

The Infirmary had started operating back in 1771 and it continued its operation up until 2002 as one of the oldest medical facilities in England. It has overtime observed and been part of a number of different medical innovations and important discoveries. The purpose of the museum is to bring in notice these different innovations and medical facilities, of the general public. The renowned known medical officers in England have been associated with the Infirmary like Sir Charles Hastings who would even go on to sit in the meetings of the Provincial Medical and Surgical Association in July 1832.

The association later on, changed its name to British Medical Association and continues to print medical Journals sharing the latest medical news with the wider public.
