CHESHIRE MILITARY MUSEUM

The Cheshire Military Museum is a repository of different courses of military history of the city which is well represented by the different artworks at depiction painted by the renowned artists. Cheshire Military Museum is a 1972 established military museum which covers the history of four British Army rehire giments of Cheshire active since 1685 onwards. One of its own kind and unique museums, it’s amongst the must see places to go in Chester, which has recaptured the military history of the city. The four regiments whose stories have been covered at the museum are the 3rd Carabiniers, the Cheshire Regiment, the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards, the Cheshire Yeomanry,and also the Eaton Hall Officer Cadet School.

There are various artworks of the higher rank holders, important military representations, battle scenes and of different soldiers put up in the military museum. The renowned artists who’ve given their works to the museum are C.D Bowers, James Arthur Pownall, William Powell Frith and many others. The extensive picture archival repository of the museum would let you have a better glance into the lives of soldiers who are set off on wars during 1914-18 and later in 1939-1943.
