About Planty Park

The Planty Park that stretches about 4 km long is a set of 30 parks, which when combined together, encircle the Old Town of Krakow. It is marked by a stunning lush green cover, especially in summers, and is considered the best place to relax and unwind. The park is filled with spectacular flower beds, labyrinths, benches and even a library. 

The northern portion of the park, stretching from Glaria Krakowska to Bastowa Street, is filled with beautiful ponds, creeks, bridges and bustling scores of bird species. Here, you can find the statue of Jadwiga and Jjagiello, which symbolise the cordial relations between Poland and Lithuania. The western stretch is home to some of the most beautiful buildings, colleges, universities and churches. One the other end is the Wawel Hill, known for its magnificent castle and Cathedral. On the western stretch, you’ll come across beautiful buildings of colleges, universities and churches.
