Museum Of Royal Worcester Overview

It is a ceramic museum which was built in 1751, and belongs to the porcelain brand called Royal Worcester. In 2009 the factory of the ceramic brand was shut down and its important pieces were shifted to the ceramic museum. It's one of the most certain places to visit in Worcester, which displays the royal and one of the most exclusive collections of pottery.

Museum of Royal Worcester is the proudly acclaimed royal museum of the city showcasing various royal collections of different utility luxuries like porcelain cutlery. The riches of the city collected ever since 1751 until 2008, which were put up on the display shelves of the museum. The objects tell more about the backstory of skills and techniques of the local and popular artisans like Doris Linder, Thomas Bott, Frant Roberts. One of the most fascinating places to go in Worcester, the museum has over 8,000 ceramic objects and a unique factory as well as a repository of artist drawings, photographs and other such historical collections.

You would find all sorts of material wares like porcelain cutlery, bone china, earthenware art pieces, glazed parian vases and an exclusive red clay product. It also houses exquisitely designed vases like Norman Conquest vases which are a pair of large cases covered in white enamel over an underglaze blue ground, the iconic Shakespeare Service Fruit cooler, chamberlain factory vase and many such attractive pieces.

Timings- The operational timings of the museum are 10 AM to 5 PM from Tuesday to Saturday and on Sunday it’s open between 10 AM to 4 PM, but it’s closed on Monday.
