COOMBE ABBEY PARK

Warwickshire, England is home to Coombe Country Park, and located about 7.5 km (4.75 mi) from the heart of Coventry, this park is overseen by the city council. Formerly the site of a Cistercian monastery, the park's structures have been renovated into the five-star Coombe Abbey Hotel.

In any season, a stroll through Coombe Abbey Park is one of the recommended tourist places to visit in Coventry, but the spring is especially lovely. The bluebells bloom from about the middle of April to the end of May, turning the park into a sea of violet so beautiful it makes you feel like you've stepped into a storybook. Take a day to explore this 500-acre paradise with a picnic and relax in the sun. There's a beautiful lake, lush forest, and gorgeous gardens there, and if you're planning on doing a lot of bird watching, you might also want to bring binoculars, and a lot of room for photography. The land is crisscrossed by trails that make getting around a breeze. In addition to the fisheries and duck/swan feeding area, there is a discovery center, playground, GO Ape! adventure ropes course, and a playground. Forgot to bring lunch? Don't fret. The café is stocked with delicious snacks.
