Royal Navy Submarine Museum

Royal Navy Submarine Museum, situated on the Gosport side of Portsmouth Harbour, is located near the shore establishment of the vessel HMS Dolphin. It is a significant attraction that tells the story of the English Royal Navy under the sea and their submarine service. The museum houses many submarines that are of national significance and have a rich history in the war field. The HMS Alliance which is the only available submarine from the World War II period is the major highlight of the place.

Visitors are allowed to explore the decks and corridors of HMS Alliance and use its working telescopes to observe Portsmouth Harbour. You can also witness other noteworthy submarines like Holland I and X24 as well as documents, ship plans, artefacts and photographs of pre-historic times. After a tour around the museum, head outside to the memorial garden to enjoy the view of the harbour area.
