About the Trek:
Chembra is located near the town of Meppady, It is part of the Wayanad hill ranges in the Western Ghats, adjoining the Nilgiri Hills in Tamil Nadu and Vellarimala in the Kozhikode district of Kerala. Experience a challenging and adrenaline-induced trek to the top of the formidable Chembra Peak, located near the heart-shaped Chembra Lake in Wayanad.
At a height of 2,100 meters above sea level, Chembra is the tallest peak in Wayanad and is an ideal area for trekking. The heart-shaped lake on the way to the top of the peak, which is believed to have never dried up. Considered to be quite the adventurous climb, you can reach the top of the peak within two hours of trekking through the dense forests and grasslands.
This amazing trek is expected to begin around mid-morning and you will get to ascend rugged terrains to reach the lake by late morning. The trek will be started from a slightly lower point, and go until the lake presently. The trail is steep and has panoramic views of the lovely hills that adorn the green forested landscape of Wayanad.

Minimum 5 people are required to book this trek.How to reach: Chembra is located near the town of Meppady and is 8 km south of Kalpetta. There are lots of bus services, both government and private, to reach Chembra. You can get down at Kalpetta and from there to Chembra. From the town of Meppady, you can reach the peak by walking.
One of the most pleasant and rustic settlements situated on the north-west of Kerala, Wayanad is also known as the ‘Land of Paddy Fields’. A cycling tour in this place enchants you with scenic views and pleasant trails.
This guided activity starts with your arrival in Kalpetta. Arrive at the camp at around 10am, get your bikes and start cycling around the town to explore the many different landmarks around it. Within the 3 hours or around 15km of cycling, you will come across ancient temples, coffee plantations and several other important breakthrough points around the vicinity.

Nileshwaram, once a cultural centre in Kerala, has retained its untouched beauty of being an exclusive place existing in a backwater dependent eco-system. Blanketed with coconut groves, filled with meandering trails, it makes an ideal picnic spot with some peppering of hiking. On your guided tour here, explore this unscathed land, understand the daily routine of the locals, and return with a smile on your face.
You’ll start around 8am from Nileshwaram. Walk on a stretch with white sandy beach and pristine backwaters for company on either side. Your first stop at a cooperative Mussel Farm exposes you to the business intricacies. Board a boat for a narrow peninsula, with an unbelievable triangular boundary of the sea, an estuary, and the backwaters. Hike around the peninsula through coconut plantations. Mark space for lunch (that can be provided by us at an extra cost) around 1pm. End your 5hour, 10km (or 20km depending upon your fitness) hike in this spectacular spot. A local boat will transfer you to Nileshwaram.

Unwind with a rafting trip at Kothad that is an island 10 kms away from Kochi, a major port city on the west coast surrounded by the river Periyar. A winding maze of interconnected channels, lagoons and lakes make up the backwaters of Kerala where this activity is conducted.
The paddling session would begin at 3:30 pm, with a brief introduction on safety aspects to be followed while kayaking in the waters. You would be kitted out in buoyancy vests before proceeding for the rafting in the meandering backwaters enclosed by tall coconut trees on both shores. On the way you can view local residents going about their daily life, fishermen angling for a good catch, or vendors ferrying their wares on small boats. This excursion also lends you an opportunity to spot regional birds like kingfishers, ducks, cormorants and darters. You will be picked up from Munnar Town at around 9am, and be provided with the cycle. In the company of the guide, pedal your way through Seven Springs that lolls on cardamom plantation and deep woods. Embrace the sea of greenery and take in fresh aroma and sights. Get further invigorated with the cool mountain air of Devikulam Hills and if you wish, you can stop by Sita Devi Lake here that abounds in mineral water and picturesque settings.
Also included in this activity is a cycle trip to Pothamedu, noted as a plantation hub in Munnar. Embark upon a daring adventure on Tejaswini River, full of rapids gushing through the thickets of the Western Ghats in Kannur. Riding in the rapids here is unique because of its breath-taking scenery and Kerala monsoons. On this two hour excursion, you’ll be rafting on the rapids of Upper Tejaswini and Lower Tejaswini. The former is a narrow river flowing between Kannur district and forests of Coorg with rapids ranging up to class – 2 and the latter one is wider with 3 major rapids ranging up to class-3.
