VALARA FALLS

Wedged between Neriamangalam and Adimali, Valara falls is one of the gorgeous waterfalls in Munnar which is located at a distance of around 12 km from the city center on the Kochi-Munnar highway. For a wild encounter in the jungle trek to this stunning waterfall and get clicked against this cascading background. 

Deviyar River is the source of many waterfalls in the region some of which is Valara falls and Cheeyapara falls. However, you cannot access the waterfall; one has to view it from the roadside as it is even visible from the NH.

The thick forest cover and the slanting rocky slopes of the hills create a canvas of beauty together and are one of the few places to visit in Munnar which can add some awe-striking pictures to your Munnar diary. It is suggested that you take a tour of this waterfall on your return trip from Munnar as it will fall on the same side of the road.
