Canggu Beach Overview

One of the most hip locations in Bali, Canggu has secured its popularity among partygoers, beachlovers and adventurers alike. Explore the Canggu beach which is a designated word used for a series of beaches on your much-awaited trip to Bali. Although the rough waters off the coast make it unfit for swimming, the beach gathers surfers from across the country.

Over the past decade, Canggu Beach has secured its position as one of the trendiest places to visit in Bali. In reality, Canggu Beach is not a single beach, but a series of small beaches spread along the Canggu Coast. Batu Bolong, Berawa, Nelayan and Echo Beach are the few designated beach spots in Canggu that you can explore while travelling with our Bali packages from India. The lively stretch of black sand has plenty to offer in terms of beauty, beach sports and entertainment.

The water off the Canggu coast tends to be rough, making it unsuitable for swimming. However, the swells and barrels here make it ideal for surfing. Echo Beach is the most popular location in Canggu for surfing, although kitesurfers are known to frequent Nelayan as well. In terms of entertainment, some beaches are more developed than the other; while Echo, Batu Bolong and Berawa Beach have plenty of beachside clubs and restaurants, while Nelayan Beach has more of a rustic, village-like charm.

A fascinating temple, as well as a tiny strip of eateries and surf shops, can be found at the southern end. There's a lively beach scene here, with plenty of families sitting out, surfers taking a break, and visitors trying their hand at beach sports. All day, delicious cuisine, high-quality coffee, and icy beverages are offered, and at night, barbecues are fired up for sunset, and a spacious terrace facing the beach fills with a happy and surfer crowd. Occasionally, there are some live music performances along the beachfront as well.
