Renon Square Overview

Amongst the most popular attractions located in Denpasar in Bali, the Renon Square has a rather rich and long history associated with it. Besides being surrounded by several Balinese cultural buildings and other landmarks, Renon Square also has a park, field walk trail and other structures within it, one of them being the famous Bajra Sandhi Monument.

Besides this, Renon Square also features the Niti Mandala Renon Field - a Monument which commemorates the struggle of the people of Bali. This monument has an impressive photo collection that depicts the Balinese struggles during the country’s war with the Dutch. Renon Square also has many food stalls and cafes, where you can tuck in to delicious local and international cuisines after you are done exploring the park.

How To Reach

The best way to reach Renon Square is to take a flight to the Ngurah Rai International Airport. From there, you can avail a bus or taxi ride to Denpasar, located around 13 kilometres away. Once you reach Denpasar, a further taxi or bemo ride can take you to the Renon Square.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit Renon Square is from May to September. These months are rather dry and great for sightseeing and exploring the island, with August being the driest month of them all. The temperatures during these months range between 25 to 35 degrees Celsius, thereby making them suitable to visit the different landmarks such as Renon Square.
