Taman Ujung ‘water palace’ with its official and complete designation of the Taman Sukasada Ujung, is the sister site of the Tirta Gangga that was also built by the late Raja of Karangasem.
Highlights: Ujung Water Palace complex has a number of large pools that are alluring in every way. Amidst the pool, there is a principal building Gili Bale that is connected to the pool via a bridge. During the volcanic eruption of the Mount Agung in 1963, the site suffered massive devastation by the hot ash that came from these volcanoes. It has also weathered an earthquake in the year 1979. Restoration efforts have been undertaken throughout the decades and this very well justifies the current splendour of the palace which continues to appeal both visitors and locals.
