About Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park:
When you head to the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park (GWK), you let yourself in the world of magnificent splendor. You will see how mythical legends, spirituality, and the culture of Indonesia has been brought to life in this larger than life statue. This statue, nothing less than an architectural wonder, depicts Lord Vishnu riding on the back of Garuda (which is an eagle-like a bird). The statue is located in the Garuda Wisnu Cultural Park in the southern part of Bali atop a hill. This hill is a vantage point for a breath-taking view of the Indonesian island and the sea. Seeing the pristine blue waters, white sands and the clear blue skies from the statue is an amazingly surreal experience. The statue is considered to be the second-largest statue in the world. At GWK Bali, you can experience the Indonesian culture very closely by seeing colorful dance performances, tasting the local Balinese food, and seeing the beautiful murals depicting the story of Garuda Wisnu. This unique cultural park also has shopping boutiques, souvenir shops, and an art market.

The voucher that you receive on booking the GWK Bali package needs to be redeemed at the cultural park. Once you reach the GWK New Ticketing Building, please present the voucher to redeem for a physical ticket. You can present either a printed copy of the voucher or show an E-copy.
The best season to visit Garuda Wisnu is the same as the best months to visit Indonesia i.e. from April till June. Once you have reached Bali, the best time to visit the park is around 4:00 pm to avoid the harsh sun and the humidity and enjoy the dances and the performances. This is an ideal time to walk around in the park and explore the various activities offered. The park is open every day of the week from 8:00 am till 9:00 pm.
For domestic tourists (holding Indonesian ID Card or holders of KITAS) the entry fee is Rs. 354. For non-domestic tourists, the admission ticket will cost Rs. 543
Once you have absorbed the magnificent splendour of the stature of the Garuda Wisnu statue, you can head for a day of exciting and fun-filled activities at the park.
At the cultural park, you can shop for a variety of giftable knick-knacks and souvenirs. These are available at the souvenir shop located inside the park. You can pick up traditional Balinese handicrafts & textiles, beachwear, silver ornaments, etc.
This place is a delight for the lovers of Indonesian food. For a great culinary experience, head to the Jendela Bali Restaurant where you will be served food with lush greenery and clear blue skies at the backdrop.
Enjoy daily cultural performances of traditional Indonesian music and dance at the Street Theatre and Wisnu Plaza. These performances will introduce you to the culture and traditions of Indonesia and you are sure to be left spellbound by the beautiful costumes, traditional masks, and the graceful dances.
The performances are held each day of the week. The only exceptions are Legong Dance (Thursdays, 7:30 pm) and Salsa Dance (Fridays, 7:00-9:00 pm) are held at Jendela Bali Restaurant.

You can easily spend at least four to five hours while at Garuda Wisnu Kencana cultural park. Once you spend some time soaking in the spirituality surrounding the Garuda Wisnu statue and seeing the beautiful panoramic views of the sea and the islands, there are interesting activities for everybody to indulge in.

The park opens at 8:00 am and closes at 9:00 pm. The cultural park is open all days of the week.
You will be served complimentary drinks at the Jendela Bali Restaurant located inside the cultural park. This restaurant is famous for the views of the open vistas and the greenery.

It is definitely a great place for children to enjoy. The children always get excited during the music and dance performances and the street theatre when they see the beautiful costumes and traditional masks. They especially get awed when they see the humongous four hundred feet tall statue of Garuda and Wisnu. Children also enjoy exploring Indonesian food.
The children of ages from 3 to 14 will be counted for child ticket in GWK Bali.
