  • 02California 2 Café and Guesthouse

    Being an affordable accommodation, California 2 Café and Guesthouse is visited by various tourists and expats who share important knowledge about the historical and cultural heritage of the country. True to its name, there is a strong American influence in the parties that are conducted here.

    Highlights - currently, there are 10 guest rooms furnished with excellent interiors for the benefit of guests. This café cum guesthouse is located on the river street and is in the midst of attractive nightlife. The rooms are furnished with televisions and all other basic features. Established in 1994, this café is always crowded with expats.

  • 03Candy Bar

    It is one of the most sought after hostess bars in Phnom Penh. Located in close proximity to the riverfront, this bar a hot property among local and international guests . Comfortable interiors, cushioned seating, great music, highly-hospitable staff, affordable drinks and snacks and a soothing overall ambience make this bar one of the top attractions in the nightlife of Phnom Penh.

  • 04Chiva’s Shack Bar, Restaurant & Guesthouse

    This was one of the best bar-cum-restaurants in Cambodia, as they did a lot of good work for charity as well. However, a massive fire that occurred in July 2012 burnt down the entire bar and now nothing remains here.

    Highlights – Chiva’s Shack Bar, Restaurant & Guesthouse was known for its excellent barbeques. The quality and taste that was served here is still missed by many of its loyal customers. This was run by the same group that managed the even more famous Shack Bar at Sihanoukville. The major highlights of this bar were its cheap but nice accommodation, large quantities of food and beer and highly hospitable staff.

    Location – It was located in Street 130, in close proximity to the Kiwi Bakery.

    Price – Rooms were available for as low as USD3 with all facilities and benefits.

    Timings – Happy hours lasted between 3PM to 9PM every day when guests could get a great deal on their drinks.
  • 05Foreign Correspondents’ Club (FCC)

    One of the most recognised and reputed bars in Phnom Penh, the FCC (Foreign Correspondents’ Club) is located on the main strip of the city’s riverside. This is a place which is frequented by many tourists all through the year. You will be blown away by the stupendous view of the riverfront, which you get from the open balcony of the FCC. The building in which FCC is located in, is one of the oldest in Phnom Penh and is amazingly beautiful, thanks to its colonial style of architecture.

    Highlights – Most of the guests and tourists come to FCC because of the fusion cuisine offered here. Traditional Khmer mixed with strong flavours of French cuisine makes the dishes taste absolutely delicious at this joint.   • 06Howie Bar

    If you are looking for place that is open into the late hours of night when you are enjoying the nightlife of Phnom Penh, Howie Bar comes to your rescue as it is open for a longer time than most of the other bars that are in the vicinity. One of the best parts of Howie is that you can hold up a conversation with almost all anybody who comes here. Locals, tourists and expats visit this bar frequently.   • 09Riverside Bistro

    One of the best places to enjoy Phnom Penh’s buzzing nightlife, the Riverside Bistro is a hot favourite among tourists from across the globe.     Highlights – Come to this night bar on your vacation to get a true feeling of what nightlife in Phnom Penh is exactly like.   • 15The Heart of Darkness

    One of the main reasons as to why Cambodia has transformed from being an architectural marvel to a country of buzzling nightlife is due to the factor that this place has so many night bars and clubs. The Heart of Darkness is one such classic bar and is widely regarded as Cambodia’s most famous bar since its inception in 1993.

    This is not only one of the busiest but also one of the longest running bars in the history of Phnom Penh nightlife.

Nevertheless, the bar offers excellent ambience and is a true haven for people who want to party up until the dark hours of night.   • 17Zeppelin Café

    With so many night bars and clubs in Phnom Penh it is important for each one to stand out unique from the other. Zeppelin Café does exactly that through its music.
