Musée National Picasso, Paris

Roland Simounet renovated the Hotel Sale, originally erected in the 17th century for a tax farmer, to give the Musee Picasso a more sophisticated and solemn image in your Europe tour. The Picasso Museum has almost 4000 works by the artist on exhibit. These pieces are from his collection and include sculptures, prints, drawings, ceramics, engravings, and more in addition to his well-known paintings. Along with Picasso's own collection of works by other artists, there is also a collection of his own photographs. Each of these works of art was donated by his family after his death.

By Bus: Tourists may also take the bus (line 20, 29, 65, 75, 69 or 96) to bus stops Saint-Claude or Rue Ville du Temple.

The Picasso Museum hosts exhibitions and workshops all through the year but it would be better if you plan a visit between the months of October and the months of April. At this time of the year the weather is pleasant and there are less crowds.
