However, this one of its kind, among Paris monuments is pretty interesting because the French army, to date, uses a part of this ancient complex as their base. This building is the living example of the ingenuity of architects, Liberal Bruant and Jules Hardouin Mansart. The Dome of Napoleon under a golden cupola of the mesmerizing Dome Church remains the showstopper.

Palace of Versailles
This is located a little towards the outskirts of Paris and the most interesting part is this used to be a hunting lodge of King Louis XIII from 1601 to 1643. This is one of the most spectacular monuments in Paris which has a prolific history. Later, Louis XIII’s son, also known as the “sun king” chose to make Versailles the prime seat of the French rulers and the Government. Palais Du Louvre
