Traveller Tales from Goa

I have heard about the Goa Kayaking being India’s and of course Goa’s leading eco-tourism and nature combined destination, cruising along the coastline of Baina Beach of Goa, backwaters and also along the rivers. I went during the Monsoons with my family and enjoyed a lot. There are many safe and scenic rivers for backwaters including the Nerul river, the Sal backwaters, the Mandovi and the Zuari. It was an exhilarating experience full of relaxation and calmness. We really loved the Kayaking and planning soon to visit again. Without damaging the environment, enjoy the pristine beaches and thick jungles from up close. Goa has everything to offer than you can ever imagine. Make a travel plan to Goa soon

"This was a great way of spending 4 hours at the sea. They started right on time. The boat looked well maintained and clean. The ride to the spot best enjoyed at the front of the boat with waves crashing head on. The packed meals served at the start of the ride was not bad either. The crew made sure everyone was attended to for the snacks and cold drinks/ beer. They took us quite far in the sea from the start point but still near the mainland for steady waters I think. After the boat is anchored mid sea, you are at your leisure to spend the time doing various activities like swimming, kayaking paddle board and snorkeling. The equipments are limited but crew makes sure everyone gets a chance atleast once. Snorkelling might amuse first timers but mid sea really isn't a place for it. kayaking and surf board was fun.Swimming in the open seas is bound to be thrilling an experience. The crew is well equipped and will ensure safety for everyone. Non swimmers do not have to worry since everyone has to wear floaters compulsory. For fishing they take you to a different spot near the starting point. although a catch is gonna depend on luck mostly. All in all worth the money and time spent. \n\nThank you Team Alex for the coordination before and on the D day."

The night walk is the most fascinating part of the trip. If you can then you can also stole around the beach at night to get a great experience. The place is also very much suitable for all the newly married couples who can enjoy the walk and get a mesmerizing and romantic experience.

The port is very near to the beach and is also a tourists spot. The port also attracted me and I decided to view it. The port town of Plarmagao also called the Vasco Da Gama town. The port town is extremely beautiful and one can spend some time there definitely.

If you are true nature lover and fond of bird watching etc you would really relish it. On the other hand, even if you are not a nature/ environmental buff, there is a certain charm of wandering in a kayak in the backwaters to the middle of no where. The adventure of venturing unknown waters does make it exciting. At least, I feel so! I am not sure about you people, but despite the fact that I tried an absolute range of water sports here in Goa during my trip, Backwater Kayaking was something that etched memories in my head that I am sure will stay with me for several years to follow. Deepak, our tour organizer and instructor conducted the trip very professionally. He imparted the necessary advice about the things to wear and carry, the things to do and not to do. He goes into fair amount of details about the specifications of the kayaking equipment, the source of water, quality of water, vegetation and animals around…. all of which is always very nice to know. Finally, he elaborated on all the advice on how to get along with the kayak. He is very ably assisted with professionals who accompany you along.. I have seen several instructors not give any information beyond what is necessary for the drill. However, Deepak wasn’t like that, we told us stories during this 3 hour ride and we completely enjoyed his company. Every member in their crew is very knowledgeable. They know how to tackle the waves. They can easily predict just on the way you hold the equipment as to how much time you’ll take to reach the destination. Be it the experience of their skill, I was very impressed! Enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it!!!

"We started with the activity at 5:00 PM in the evening from the Bambolim Beach. It is a three hour activity which is indeed super fun. We were given adequate gears to ensure our safety. The instructor provided us with all the necessary information and said it in a manner that we actually understood everything. After all the instructions and the safety tips were imparted we began with our activity. So, armed with our gears and equipments we were ready to kayak through the backwaters of Bambolim. It was an absolute fun thing that I have ever done in my life. There were other activities too included with the package. We completely enjoyed every bit of them too. You know, as you cruise in this long river and marvel at the beautiful sunset happening around you, you are simply transported to a different world altogether. A world that is serene and every bit beautiful. I was so enchanted by the beauty of the sun setting in this vast beach that I just couldn’t think of anything else. There is no bigger fun in life than this. "

Since we have never kayaked in the ocean ever, so initially both I and my wife were hesitant to do it. But getting the perfect guide was an actual deal breaker for us. His confidence and technical knowledge removed all my reluctance and helped me gain more trust on him. Baina beach environment is very pleasant, especially in the morning it’s very calm and sunny. The water is cold early morning but as the sun is overhead the water gets warm and again loses its heat in the evening, so the best time for kayaking is 9 in the morning.

I went to the Goa Kayaking and had a wonderful experience with my family. It is totally safe and all kinds of safety procedures and equipment are given. Many different Kayaks are available which are ideal for children, couples and families. All the Kayaks where of high quality and very safe for tracking in postal zones, rivers and back waters. The scenic beauty is incredible so do not forget to bring a camera to capture these moments.
