Standing at a height of 4513 feet, Gunung Gagau borders the states of Pahang, Terengganu, and Kelantan. It is a popular trekking destination and is known for its diverse flora and fauna. While hiking around the beautiful green hills, you can also spot a variety of medicinal herbs and catch splendid views of the surrounding areas.

Gunung Gagau is located at the borders of Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan states Malaysia. Standing tall at a height of 4513feet, Gagau presents a reasonably good opportunity for hiking enthusiasts.

Highlights – Excellent species of medicinal flora found here in plenty. It is one of the most humid areas in Malaysia.

Facts – Trekking trails on Mount Gagau are quite straightforward and simple when compared to the adjacent peak of Mount Tahan. It takes only one day for the two-way trekking trip from Camp Gagau to Gunung Gagau. One can enjoy the rich flora and fauna at the Taman Negara National Park while coming here. Currently the area is closed for tourists to enable better wildlife preservation. Only the local Batik tribal community people are allowed in this mountain area.

Timings – March to September, where you can visit the nearby areas in this mountain and enjoy boat rides.

Fee – Not applicable, as tourists are not allowed currently.
