GOMANTONG CAVES

Hailed as the most popular attraction in Sabah, Gomantong cave is a part of Gomantong Forest Reserve. The cave is known to be housing millions of bats and cockroaches since ages. It is composed of two primary chambers, namely The White Cave and The Black Cave. While the Black Cave can be easily approached by tourists, the White Cave remains inaccessible.

A walk across this cave will leave your shoes dirty. Hence, it is advisable to cover your shoes with plastic bags before stepping inside the cave. If you want to choose a safer way to reach the cave, you can also walk through its wooden pathway.
