The catch is that you and your team will be given a basket with many holes and will have to use leaves to cover it up. Manage the whole thing in such a way that the water does not leak. Either that or you would have to collect water with a bamboo stick. Other activities include starting a fire using old techniques and hunting for food with a game of archery. You will also have to find shelter and build it with the materials that are provided. Engage in Scavenger Hunt where the utensils will be hidden across. You and your group will have to scout for them. Somewhere along the way, a lion is on the prowl and you have to undertake Jumaring (rope climbing activity). Also, one of your tribesmen is injured. The team has to make a stretcher with what is provided and will have to carry him back on top of it.

Kotebetta is the third highest peak in Coorg, and measures around 5400 ft. The scenic beauty that the trail showcases adds to the allure. It is a 16 Kms trek, and the guided experience is for 2 days and 1 night.

Leave from Bangalore for an overnight journey at 11 pm. Reach Madikeri early morning, freshen up and have breakfast in a local hotel. Take a bus to Hattihole and commence the trek to Kotebetta once you are here at 9 AM. Beginning on an asphalted road, you gradually enter the thick forest which leads to the summit. En route, visit the Shiva temple, take a breather for some time, and indulge in lunch.

Reach Kotebetta Peak and pitch tents. Unwind for a bit and witness the mesmerizing sunset. Arrange for a campfire and spend some fetching moments. Sleep in a tent with a company of stars. Under the twinkling stars, unravel the charms of Bilikal Ranganathaswamy Betta with this 4.5 km lively night trek. Located 90 km from Bangalore, the destination overlooks Kanakpura town. Also known as ‘BR Hills’ it is renowned for its whitish rock formations near the peak. These rock formations are amongst the most popular trekking destinations around Bangalore. 

About the Activity:

Begin the journey at around 10 pm from Bangalore. After a roughly 2 hour drive, arrive at the Harahalli basecamp around 12 am. Under the guidance of the certified instructors, start trekking to the Bilikal Ranganathaswamy peak. The trek to the peak takes around four hours to complete and upon reaching the summit, witness amazing views of sunrise. At around 7 am descend to the base and have breakfast. Post which, embark on the return journey to Bangalore.

A trove of some spectacular waterfalls, Uttara Kannada is located around 420km from Bangalore. The treks to these cascades comprises of terrains that can be accessed by all types of trekkers. The guided activity, spread over two days will take you around six hours.

Start your overnight journey from Bangalore around 10pm. On the way to the basecamp in Yellapur, have breakfast and prepare yourself for the trek ahead. At around 8 am, start towards the Sathodi Falls, followed by the Madodi Falls during the latter part of the afternoon. Post these visits, trek towards a basecamp in Sirsi for an overnight stay.

About the departure: The Wayanad exploration trip for 3 days begins with an overnight journey from Bangalore. Upon arrival at Wayanad, you can freshen up at the Mist Heritage Homestay (or similar).

Description: Post breakfast at 8:00 AM, you can visit the majestic Meenmutty Falls which is Kerala’s second highest waterfalls.After the completion of the waterfalls tour, you will come back to resort for lunch around 1:00PM, after which you can undertake the exciting adventure activity. Before you wrap up the day with dinner, you can relax by the bonfire.

Following breakfast on the second day, you will be taken to the island 60 km from the homestay. Here, you can undertake fun water activities like kayaking and rowing that you can enjoy with family, friends and team members.  En route the tea estate tour in Vythiri and Meppadi, you will be served lunch at a nearby hotel around 1:00PM.

About the departure: Start on Thursday night from Bangalore around 10pm and reach Chikmagalur by 6am. Charge up with a hearty breakfast and leave for Kemmangundi around 9am. Your path will be a flat terrain and you might be flanked by the famous coffee plantations. Reach by 5pm and be accommodated at Rangers Camp.

On Day 2, have breakfast and start around 7am to cycle to Bababudangiri. Cycle uphill through the mountains and reach the destination around 5pm. Overnight stay will be at Giri Resort.

Day 3 unfolds many charms. You start around 7am and reach the famous Mullayanagiri around 1pm. Make way uphill, have lunch and get back to Bangalore around 8pm.

About the Departure: Departing Bangalore on the 14th of August; at around 10:00PM, the group will reach Chikmagalur by next day morning.

Description: Upon arrival, get transferred to the Ballur Estate (or similar), freshen up and relax till breakfast is served. With the completion of the morning meal, visit a nearby waterfall and witness its stunning beauty. However, if any of the group members do not wish to join this waterfall tour, they can chose to relax within the estate.

Returning to the campsite, relish on a delicious lunch and get engrossed with some of the adventure activities. Fun and excitement will continue till the evening, when the group members can relax beside a delightful bonfire. After dinner is served, call it for the end of the day; overnight stay in twin-sharing rooms.

On the second day of the tour, a trek to one of the nearby peaks after breakfast will get all the group members acquainted with the captivating beauty of Chikmagalur. This 2-hour walk through the Secretariat area is an introduction to the high echelons of power. On this visit, you will also get to see the State Museum and the Venkatappa Gallery, learn about history and appreciate art. The tour starts at 9.30 am at the beautiful General Post Office (GPO) building, a well-known landmark in the city. Treading slowly, head toward the Raj Bhavan, the Governors residence that is over a 150 years old. The grand structure with its sprawling lawns will remind you of the glorious past.

The next leg of the tour includes a trip to the Vidhan Soudha (the State Legislature). Erected by Kengal Hanumanthaiah, this architectural masterpiece is spread over 60 acres with verdant lawns.This experience will leave you richer with knowledge and information about the seat of power.
