Hall Of Fame Overview

The Hall of Fame in Leh is a museum that was constructed by the Indian Army in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives trying to protect their motherland in the Indo-Pakistan wars. Located on the Leh-Kargil Road, the museum is a great place to see photos of the soldiers, their training camps, the different war relics, and a lot more on your Leh Ladakh tour.

Located near the Leh airfield, the Hall of Fame is a museum constructed and maintained by the Indian Army. It is here where you can learn and witness the extreme symbol of bravery that the Indian army portrayed during the times of India’s war against Pakistan. From photographs and biographies of the soldiers who attained martyrdom during the war, to displays of seized arms and weapons of the Pakistani army, this museum is home to all of it and much more.

You can even see photos that were captured by the Indian army and get a close insight into their lives in the cold Siachen Glacier. You can see how and where they lived, what they ate, and how they trained amidst the ice walls. The Hall of Fame becomes an even more interesting place owing to its other galleries, where you can get more information about the history and culture of Ladakh.

The museum also houses a separate section where you can watch a heart-wrenching and detailed documentary on Operation Vijay and the Kargil War. The Hall of Fame Museum also boasts of a souvenir shop where you can buy pashmina shawls, postcards and other things to take back home.
