Kanha National Park is located in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh and it extends over an area of over 1,940-sq-kms. Nagarhole National Park is a wildlife reserve in the South Indian state of Karnataka. It is a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and is backed by the Brahmagiri Mountains. Home to tigers, Asian elephants and a variety of birds, Nagarhole safari is a perfect nature’s getaway.

Arrive at the Nagarhole National Park and meet your driver-cum-guide as you begin your safari in Nagarhole. How to reach Nagarhole Safari Pickup Point:
The National Park is located 90 km from Coorg, so you can reach there easily by public or private transport.

This trek takes 4 days to complete. The best time to do it is from June to October. The highest point of this trek is Gandala. The highlight of this trip is remote villages, monasteries and people. The first day we drive to Zingchen. From there we walk to Rumbak. From there we leave Zingchen village and then enter Hemis National park. This is the habitat of Snow leopard. From here we go to Rumbak and then stay at self sufficient place.

From Rumbak we go to Yurutse. From yurutse we proceed to wildlife sight seeing. After exploringYurutse we traverse across the mountains, pass over valleys into a zig zag path and then cross over Ganda La. From here we go to Markha valley. Further ahead is Kaya village, where home stay facilities are very good.

The entire journey takes 6-7 hours. The next day we go to Chilling, crossing Zanskar river. We later on drive to Leh and arrive there by evening.

This trek is one among the easiest treks of Ladakh. If you have less time for trekking, then this would a perfect option for you. This is located at the western part of the Leh Sham. This particular trek is quite adventurous and you can see many ancient villages and monasteries that are rich in agriculture and culture.

You can get easy access to this trek from Leh along with many landscapes and popular peaks including the Kang Yatse (6400 m), Stok Kangri (6115 m) and Zanskar range that is from south west part. In the period of this trek you can see Nun Kun Range (over 7000m) and Karkorum from top part of the high pass. This trek also covers Hemis National Park where you can spot many wild animals.

Home to numerous birds and animals, the Dandeli Anshi Tiger Reserve, near the Karnataka–Goa border is located in the Western Ghats. The forests of Jungle Safari Dandeli are biodiverse and are home to over 300 species of birds, most prominent among them being the hornbills.

Jungle Safari in Dandeli into the reserve is conducted twice daily – first at 6 am and the second at 4 pm. For the morning slot, you would be driven from Dandeli to Kulgi at 5:30 am. Here you are transferred onto an open jeep of the forest department and the safari commences immediately. The same safari can be undertaken in the evening for which you would need to start at 3:30 pm and you would return at 7 pm.

Bird watchers and professional ornithologists are to be rewarded with sightings of rare and unique birds in their natural habitat. About the Activity:

Conducted near Dandeli, a small town situated in North Karnataka, this guided tour of around 10 -11 hours is an ideal combination of an enjoyable and action-packed day in the wild. It starts early in the morning around 7 am when you are driven from Dandeli to Ganeshgudi for an hour or two of bird watching. With over 350 species of birds being residents of this area and an expert guide to accompany you, there would be plenty of opportunities to observe rare birds in their natural habitat.

A half hour stopover for breakfast later, the rest of the morning would be reserved for mountain biking on specially adapted bikes. The rough terrain of the region lends itself for an exciting round of biking through the ups and downs and bumpy paths.This would be followed by an hour of lunch break and then would begin the exhilarating surfing session in the River Kali. The Ganeshgudi rapids are ideal to surf on with their low down waves and you can enjoy the occasional splash in the fresh waters.

After a refreshing session in the river water, the trek through the thick evergreen foliage of the nearby jungle with a guide well-versed with the route comes next. This is another chance to observe the birds and soak in the sights and sounds of wildlife as you make your way through diverse foliage. The final activity is the coracle ride on the river Kali’s peaceful waters. With the sun about to set over the horizon, you return to Dandeli sometime around 6 pm.

Explore a non-beach side of Goa with Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, a remote forest area bordering Karnataka and Goa. This peaceful, scenic park (86sqkm) is home to exotic birds and wildlife such as gazelles, sloth bears and panthers. Over ten hours, the place throws in an opportunity for some wildlife spotting, a light-hearted trek, swim in the river, and more.

Start at 8am, depart from the hotel to Cotigao. Upon reaching the sanctuary around 10:45am, unwind and head for an 8km drive into the forest area. With luck by your side, you may have a chanced sighting of some of the inhabitants. Stopover at the local watering hole to catch a glimpse of the lurking wildlife. From here head for a 4km trek towards the treetop watch towers for some more sightings. Upon return, have lunch, and take a short stroll for a bath in the river. After this activity, you’ll drive 8km towards a butterfly park, where you’ll be served hi tea and snacks, before heading back to your accommodation around 5.30pm.
