The Chembra Peak Trek
Perched to the south of the Kalpetta township, the Chembra Peak is counted as one of the best places for trekking in Wayanad. With a picturesque backdrop of the lofty mountains and greenlands, this four-hour trail to the top of the mountain is worth all the efforts you will put in to cross the hurdles on the journey.
Do not forget to take the permission of the forest department which can be done at the office which is a few miles away from the starting point of the base. The heart-shaped lake along the trek gives this excursion extra brownie points for the visitors not to miss this place.

The 6 hour guided trail takes you across beautiful tea gardens and spice towns to the old rain forests of Wayanad. Trek through the ancient forests at the high altitudes and meet nature at its full display.
The nearly 10 km trek begins around 10 am in the morning. You will be driven along the foothills of the extension of the Chembra ranges of the Western Ghats. Cross the quaint spice towns and tea gardens towards a remote settlement where the curving road leads you to the cardamom forests. Also known as the Kalladi forest, it still maintains its age-old rain forest trees, and you trek your way through the huge trees. A couple of hours into the trek you reach a ridge which gives you stunning views of the misty valley beneath. You cross the river and continue your trek to another clear stream. En route to your final destination, have some packed lunch that can be provided by us at an extra cost. At sunset our vehicle takes you back to your room after a splendid day of trekking and exploration.

Edakkal Cave Trek

Edakkal cave is the easiest place for trekking in Wayanad, completely ideal in case you’re a newbie. The Brahmagiri Peak Trek

The Wayanad trekking takes you to the top of the Brahmagiri peak for a wonderful scenic view of the entire landscape around the Brahmagiri hill. Just in case you forget, make sure that you take a camera with you to immortalize the view.
The trek along the Brahmagiri slope is an enjoyable experience of trekking in Wayanad. The hill presents a mesmerizing view of the surroundings from its slopes.
You will come across pretty little streams where you can take a break before continuing on your journey uphill. The slope can get quite steep towards the peak, but the vista that awaits you at the summit will wipe out all memories of the arduous journey.
The only peak that is higher than the Brahmagiri summit is that of the Chembra peak and you can see it once you reach the top.

Thusharagiri Trek

Set in the Western Ghats, Thusharagiri is a popular destination for trekking around Bangalore and is home to some very beautiful waterfalls. You can hear the roar of the falls as you go near Thusharagiri.
Situated about 50 km from Kozhikode in Kerala, Thusharagiri is visited by a lot of tourists throughout the year for sightseeing, trekking, adventure sports etc. The rugged topography of Thusharagiri is an ideal terrain for those who are looking for a heavy duty trekking opportunity.
The trail takes you through dense forests, waterfalls, gurgling streams etc and makes good for all the trouble with its splendid natural beauty. A trek in this beautiful region gives you the opportunity to have a glimpse of the wonderful rubber, areca nuts, pepper, etc plantations of the region. The trail of Thusharagiri trekking in Wayanad has about 5 waterfalls but it is possible to cover only 3 in a day.
It is advisable to return back to base camp and return the next day to complete the trek. A stay in the jungle is quite risky due to wild animals. Stock up on food as much as you can before starting the trek.
