Chembra peak is a short trek but it's not very easy. There is some steep climb in the beginning which really gets one going. Do carry some water and some biscuits to nibble in the short breaks you take in your ascent. The heart shaped lake is awesome and so are the other views.

A local guide was compulsory to pass by the forest check. Thank god we had booked from Thrillophilia as we not only got a local guide but permits as well for which we need not wait. This trek was indeed best and needed quite an effort to reach the top. The climb was not so easy so take enough rest in between to regain the energy level. Carry some chocolates and protein bars and wear the shoes you are comfortable with walking and running in. The efforts are worth it once you witness the views and the heart-shaped lake

We had so much fun there. The trail was narrow and we had to climb some rocks as well and the trail was completely surrounded by lush greenery which makes it perfect for a great view. There were coffee and tea plantations as well which looked amazing and passing by those areas the fragrance of tea and coffee was great.
