About the Destination:
Sun, sand and surfing…does that kindle your passion? The small sleepy village of Kodi Bengre in Udupi, Karnataka, is secluded from the rest of the world and proves to be a heaven for the surfers. Tucked away between a serene beach and the quiet backwaters, this quaint beach is the confluence point of the Arabian Sea and the Suvarna River.
Located within the close proximity with Manipal, it is only 10km away from the Malpe Beach in Udupi and can be easily reached through Bangalore-Mangalore-Udupi Highway. Serene and tranquil, the favourable wind and waves around the beach make it a paradise for amateur as well as expert surfers.
About the Activity with Details:
Savour the tranquillity of rural life as three days of surfing lessons, practise sessions and other delights will reveal many unknown entities.
Day 01: Following your arriving in Manipal 12:00PM, head towards the campsite. Post lunch in the camp, proceed for surfing classes followed by a practice session in the evening. Try out all the skills and techniques that you learnt today, experience the waves and the sea like never before!
Day 02: Nothing can be as exhilarating as riding the wave and conquering your fears! Today, with all the skills learnt on the previous day, you will be no more an amateur. Take your surfing into another level by some new techniques; standing upright on the surf-board, taking turns and several others.
By noon, reenergise yourself with a freshly prepared lunch sourced from a nearby local village family and continue with your surfing experience. Enjoy manoeuvring the waves like a pro and by evening, return to the camp. Make the evening more delightful be sharing your surfing experience with the fellow surfers beside a delightful campfire and gazing at the open-starry sky.
Day 03: Today morning, make it for another surfing session at the beach and quench all your yearnings of surfing in Kodi Bengre. Come afternoon, it will be time to pack your bags and depart from Kodi Bengre, and continue with your onward journey towards Bangalore.
