The Tons river flows through Garhwal, the western part of the Himalayan state of Uttaranchal, bordering Himachal Pradesh. With its source in the 20,720 ft high Bandarpunchh mountain, it is the biggest tributary of the Yamuna, and, in fact, carries more water than the Yamuna itself. One of the popular rafting expeditions at Uttarakhand is closed to the Tons River flowing through Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.
This experience offers us complete information on river expedition in India. The Tons demarcates the borders of Himachal Pradesh and West Uttrakhand. Lower Tons River Expedition is the normal rafting run and makes for a nice introductory run. On first phase we will visit Camp Lunagad, Tons river, located at 3600 ft above sea level in thick pine forest. From here we will move to Ringali Rest house - a British rest house. Then we will go further to Tiuni. The village is located on the confluence of the Pabbar and Tons rivers. Tiuni is nestled among forests of alpine paddocks and rhododendron. Further there is Icchari dam, which is one of the electrifying rafting expeditions in Uttarakhand. Icchari dam is our last destination.

About Pangarchulla Peak Trek:
This scenic Pangarchulla Peak trek via Kuari Pass route begins with hiking from Joshimath in Chamoli district in Garhwal Himalayas to its peak standing at an altitude of 3650 m. Following this is a trek to Pangarchulla peak which is challenging to state the least, navigating through deep snowy terrains, bouldering rocks and steep slopes. Upon reaching the peak of Kuari, marvel at the awe-striking peaks that pass along the confluence of several rivers, gorgeous forests and sprawling meadows, also known as ‘Bugyals’. If lucky, one also gets to spot footprints of either the Himalayan Bear or Leopard.
