While Tapola, is called the Mini Kashmir of Maharashtra, Kaas is the flowering plateau that is adorned with more than 850 varieties of flowers in the season between July to August. In Tapola, you will come across the amazing water body of Shiv Sagar boating club that is famous for its water sports. About the Activity with Details:
Starting bright and early at around 06:30 AM, the bike trip to Satara Circuit begins as you meet the rest of team mates at the pre decided location. Get on your beloved bikes and zoom your way through the slopes and terrains from Pune to Bhor by around 08:00AM.
A yummy breakfast awaits you at Bhor as you nourish yourself for the ride ahead. Post breakfast, you will continue with yourriding expedition in Satara Circuit and progress towards Mahabaleshwar, a charming hill station, through the famous and beautiful Mandhardevi Ghat.
As the day wears on, you will again take a brief stopover at Mahabaleshwar for tea and snacks at around 11:00 AM. Marvel at the beautiful scenery around you, and re-join the track that will take you from Mahabaleshwar to Tapola, the mini Kashmir of Maharashtra.
Upon reaching Tapola, an amazing lunch will be waiting for you to nourish your bodies. Why one should visit Kaas Pathar ??
Kaas Pathar also known as Valley Of Flowers is situated on the high hills of Sahyadri range in western ghats, 22 kilometers from Satara City in Maharashtra state of India. It is known as Maharashtras valley of flowers. The area of plateau is approximately 1,000 hectare. The plateau is laden with wild flowers during the months of September and October. The whole plateau looks like a carpet in various colors. These flowers bloom on their own and stay for about 23 weeks (depending on the monsoon and other weather factors). It has been declared as Biodiversity World heritage site by The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Its a unique place for flora researchers, nature lovers, and photographers.
