Bustling with high end resorts, Half Moon Bay is one of Al Khobar’s most thriving tourist spots. Sitting in the Arabian Gulf, the Bay has historically been an important oil producing region in Saudi Arabia. The shallow waters at the bay are forgiving, and most people choose to take a dip when here. The beach is best known for its fishing and sailing provisions, and both small dinghies and larger yachts can be spotted bobbing in the bayswater whenever you visit. It is also a great place for scuba diving, although the exotic marine life here is limited. Occasionally, one may spot some sharks at a distance. In 1968, a 30-foot tall whale had wandered into the area as well!

One of the most popular places to visit in Dammam with family, a visit to the Dolphin Village can be a great way to spend one’s evening. The best known exhibit here is, of course, the Dolphin and Sea Lion show, where one can witness these friendly creatures perform a variety of tricks.  For a more personal experience, the Village also features separate pools for children and adults.  Food and drinks are easily available, making sure everyone stays full and happy throughout the show.There are some rides for younger children as well. Dhammam’s Al Othaim Mall is shaped like an enormous ship- dominating the city’s skyline, it is quite hard to miss. The four storey mall features nearly 400 stores selling everything from high end apparel to pocket friendly finds. The Mall also features a floor dedicated entirely to Arab apparels. The entertainment zone on the top floor features an arcade gaming area, a water zone and a bowling alley. There are some restaurants and fast food chains at Othaim as well, serving everything from Arabian to international cuisine.
