THE HERITAGE VILLAGE

The Heritage village is a cluster of buildings, shops and walkways which exhibit the culture of Saudi Arabia. The five-storeyed fortress-like structure provides its guests a glimpse into Saudi civilization’s past and present as well as some remarkable relics such as ancient weaponry, jewels, old pictures, antiquities, manuscripts and a variety of other rarely seen objects.

 Shedding light on the magnificent history of the country, the Heritage Stand stands out as one of the top historical places to visit in Dammam. Located on the Al Khobar Corniche, this 5 storey fortress pays tribute to the Saudi past in exhibitions that display old photographs, royal jewelry, and ancient weapons.

Out of the many exhibitions here, the most popular one is that of King Salim’s cars, which showcases a staggering variety of vehicles owned by the former King, from bicycles to two wheelers. The Village houses a market, selling a number of locally produced items, including incense, rosaries, spices and handicraft. The Heritage Village also features a restaurant and cafe of its own, dishing out Saudi and GUlf delights prepared by local cooks.
