Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary happens to be a place for relishing the nature at its best. It is the home for a number of birds, mammals and many more species. This spell bounding wildlife sanctuary is situated in the Aravalli Hill Range and one of the best hideouts for Delhi Locals. The sanctuary has more than over 80 different types of butterflies, 100 insect families, 193 type of birds, mammals like cats, blackbucks, jackals, civets, and more.

The wildlife sanctuary was established in the year 1986 in Tughlakabad and spreads over an area of 6,874 acres. There are three villages Maidangiri, Asola, and Shapur within the sanctuary. The sanctuary is also known for its huge collection of medicinal plantations. The Conservation Education Centre plans out various expeditions and tours in and around the sanctuary from time to time. The sanctuary is now a protected land as per the guidelines of the forest department. However, it is open for children to visit all over the year.

The sanctuary is located at Shooting Range Rd, Asola Wildlife Sanctuary, Tughlakabad, New Delhi. 

Price - 
There is no entry fee for moving in and around the Asola Wildlife Sanctuary. 

Timing -
The sanctuary is open from 9:00 AM in the morning to 5:00 PM in the evening on all days except for Saturdays and Sundays.

This area is also widely acknowledged as a favourite spot for bird watching in the afternoon times. One needs to be alert while visiting here as there are a lot of monkeys which can pose to a disturbance for you when you are visiting these places with your family. The forests in this region also play a crucial role in acting as a natural barrier preventing the flood plains and progressing infertility of the Aravalli range.

How To Reach

The distance between Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary and Indira Gandhi International Airport is about 22 km. After landing at the airport, you can catch a local bus or take an auto-rickshaw to reach the sanctuary. You can easily find local buses plying in between Airport and Tughlakabad. 

However, if you are new to Delhi, then it would be better to hire a cab to reach at Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary without facing any inconvenience. It would hardly take 45 minutes to reach from the airport.

There is no best time to come to this wildlife sanctuary. You can come over to this amazing place all over the year. You will feel mesmerized in the wonderful scenic beauty of the sanctuary and would love to photograph all that is happening inside. If you want to cover the whole sanctuary that is spread over an area of 27.82 KM Square then you would need to spend at least 2-3 hours.

Come to this wonderful place in the middle of the bustling city of Delhi and spend some time with nature admiring some of the beautiful creations of God.
