Trúc Bạch Lake is found northwest of Hanoi's Old Quarter, promptly neighboring the eastern shore of the city's biggest lake, the West Lake (Hồ Tây), a previous branch of the Red River whose west bank is nearby. Truc Bach Lake lies around three kilometers toward the northwest of Hoan Kiem Lake and is effortlessly reachable by walking or by cyclo.
Highlights: Amid the eighteenth century the Trinh masters fabricated a castle on the lakeside; it was later changed into a reformatory for wayward imperial mistresses, who were sentenced to spend their days weaving unadulterated white silk.
