HANOI CERAMIC MOSAIC MURAL

Spanning 4 kilometers from the Long Bien Bridge, along the dyke of Song Hong, this mural project holds a Guinness World Record for being the planet’s largest ceramic mosaic, while being one of the fascinating places to visit in Hanoi.

History has it that this mural was developed as a vital part of Hanoi’s millennial anniversary and was an outcome of an architecture contest. The architect who transformed Hanoi’s dyke system into a spellbinding ceramic mosaic also won a prize.

Highlights: Lots of tourists throng to watch this colorful mural that uses ceramics produced at the Bat Trang and lines the busy roads. The mural continues to grow as new sections are constantly being added. All these sections depict Vietnam’s history’s different periods.
