FIFA World Football Museum was opened in 2016, and the project was proposed by the former President of the FIFA, Sepp Blatter. The Federation, after approving the project, eventually chose to acquire the Haus zur Enge from Swiss Life and rebuilt it as the Fifa Football Museum.The construction began in 2014 and was completed by December 2015.
