Can I breathe or talk in freefall?

Yes. It is essential to breathe while skydiving. The best way to get plenty of oxygen while diving is by relaxing and enjoying each and every moment. Another trick to avoid breathing trouble at higher altitude is taking deep breaths before the exit. However, it is advisable to avoid talking during the freefall as your voice won't be audible after the speed reaches up to 120 mph. You can use hand signals to convey your message.
