Top Destinations Covered in Dubai Tour Packages from Mumbai

Burj Khalifa

The most visited attraction in almost every itinerary, Burj Khalifa remains the centrepiece of most first-time Dubai trips. Standing as the tallest building in the world, it is usually one of the first attractions travellers prioritise while planning their Dubai visit. The observation decks on the 124th and 125th floors offer wide views of the city skyline, desert stretches, and coastline, making it one of Dubai’s most photographed experiences.

Sunset slots are especially preferred because travellers get both daylight and night skyline views in one visit. Many travellers also combine this with nearby attractions like the Dubai Mall and the Dubai Fountain Show, which makes the overall experience more convenient without extra travel time.

For first-time visitors, Burj Khalifa often becomes the highlight because it gives an immediate sense of Dubai’s scale and modern city planning.

Dubai Marina

Evening experiences at Dubai Marina are highly preferred because of the skyline, waterfront atmosphere, and cruise dinners. This area is one of Dubai’s most visually active zones, where high-rise buildings, yachts, and illuminated walkways create a completely different mood after sunset.

Many travellers include a Dhow Cruise dinner at Dubai Marina because it combines sightseeing with a relaxed evening meal while moving through the marina waters. The cruise experience usually includes city views, dinner, and entertainment, making it one of the most popular first-evening activities after arrival.

Dubai Marina also works well for travellers who prefer a slower evening after full-day sightseeing.

Dubai Frame

A strong visual contrast between old Dubai and modern Dubai makes the Dubai Frame one of the most recommended attractions in many itineraries. Built as a giant architectural frame, it allows travellers to view both sides of Dubai from one elevated structure, with the older traditional areas on one side and

the modern skyline on the other.

This attraction has become popular because it visually explains how Dubai has evolved over time, which many first-time visitors find more meaningful than expected.

The glass walkway at the top also adds a unique viewing experience that many travellers specifically look forward to.

Palm Jumeirah

Palm Jumeirah remains a major highlight for travellers who want iconic Dubai views and premium photo locations. Known for its artificial palm-shaped design, it represents one of Dubai’s most recognisable engineering landmarks.

Many itineraries now include The View at Palm Jumeirah, where travellers get elevated panoramic views of the island layout, the surrounding coastline, and the nearby skyline.

Palm Jumeirah is especially preferred by couples and travellers looking for premium visual experiences because the area naturally offers some of Dubai’s most polished city views.

AYA Universe

AYA Universe is a newer attraction that has quickly become popular for its immersive indoor visual experience. It combines digital art, light installations, sound effects, and themed spaces designed to feel interactive rather than traditional sightseeing.

Travellers often prefer AYA Universe because it gives a very different experience compared to Dubai’s outdoor landmarks. It is especially popular among younger travellers, families, and people interested in photography because almost every section offers visually unique setups.

Since it is fully indoors, many travellers also choose it during warmer months

Ferrari World

Ferrari World is often chosen by travellers adding Abu Dhabi for thrill-based attractions. It remains one of the most popular theme parks in the UAE because of its high-speed rides, indoor comfort, and wide appeal for both adults and families.

The biggest attraction is Formula Rossa, known for being one of the fastest roller coasters in the world.

Even travellers who are not strongly interested in theme parks often include Ferrari World because it adds a completely different energy to the trip compared to sightseeing-heavy days.

Global Village

Global Village is a seasonal attraction preferred for evening visits, shopping, and food experiences. It combines country-themed pavilions, live performances, local products, and street food in one large open area.

Travellers often enjoy it because it feels less formal than major attractions and gives more freedom to explore casually.

It is especially preferred in cooler months because evenings become very comfortable, and the atmosphere stays lively for several hours.

For many Mumbai travellers, Global Village becomes one of the easiest places for shopping, trying different foods, and ending the day without fixed schedules.

“This trip showed that Dubai can be explored comfortably even on a budget. In just three days, major attractions like the desert, Burj Khalifa, Dubai Creek, and Mall of the Emirates were covered efficiently. It worked especially well for travellers from Mumbai looking for value without missing the key experiences, and the local guide added a more natural feel to the journey.”

How to Reach Dubai from Mumbai (What Travellers Usually Prefer)

The most convenient way to reach Dubai from Mumbai is by a non-stop direct flight from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The journey usually takes around 3 hours 25 minutes to 4 hours 40 minutes, and flights run throughout the day.

Airlines like Emirates, IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet operate regularly on this route. Many Mumbai travellers prefer early morning or late-night departures to save a full day in Dubai.

From experience, Emirates is mainly chosen for comfort and smoother service, while IndiGo flights are preferred by travellers looking for affordable options.

Traveller Insight: It is always suggested to reach the airport at least 3 hours early and try to book tickets 2–3 weeks in advance for better fares and seat choices.

Best Time to Visit Dubai from Mumbai

For most Mumbai travellers, the ideal time to visit Dubai is between November and March, because the weather remains pleasant and outdoor sightseeing becomes much more comfortable during these months. Temperatures usually stay between 14°C and 25°C, which makes it easier to explore outdoor attractions without getting tired in the heat.

Since many Dubai experiences, such as desert safaris, Marina evenings, open-air markets, and beach visits, involve spending time outdoors, the weather plays a major role in how comfortable the trip feels. Travellers from Mumbai often prefer this period because the shift in climate also feels refreshing compared to the city's humidity back home.

1. Peak Season (November to March)

This is when Dubai feels most comfortable for travellers and remains the most preferred travel season across package bookings. Desert safaris, beach visits, Marina evenings, walking tours, and outdoor attractions are best enjoyed during this period because the temperature remains manageable throughout the day and evening.

An added advantage is the Dubai Shopping Festival, usually held during December and January, when the city becomes more active with large shopping discounts, concerts, fireworks, and seasonal events. Many travellers intentionally align their trip with this period because they get both sightseeing and shopping benefits together.

Thrillophilia Insight: Around 65–70% of Mumbai travellers choose this season because it offers the smoothest overall travel experience, especially for families and first-time visitors

2. In-Between Season (April to May and September to October)

This period is often chosen by travellers looking for slightly better hotel pricing and fewer crowds while still keeping the trip comfortable. Temperatures begin rising, but sightseeing remains manageable if outdoor activities are planned during mornings or evenings.

Travellers who prefer a more relaxed city experience often choose this season because attractions feel less crowded compared to the winter months. Hotels and flights also tend to offer better pricing during this period, which makes it attractive for budget-conscious travellers.

3. Off-Season (June to August)

Prices are lower during this period, and many travellers choose it specifically for premium hotel offers and reduced package costs. Dubai remains extremely hot during summer, so travellers usually shift toward indoor attractions such as malls, aquariums, indoor entertainment zones, museums, and air-conditioned experiences.

For travellers who do not mind heat and plan carefully, summer can still work well because Dubai’s infrastructure is designed to handle extreme weather comfortably indoors.

From Our Travel Experience: Families and couples usually enjoy November to February the most because outdoor comfort stays high, while solo travellers often choose April or September because of lower crowd levels and better price flexibility.

Top Activites in Dubai Mumbaikars Must Do

Dubai offers much more than standard sightseeing, and many Mumbai travellers now prefer adding one or two slower experiences beyond the usual major attractions. These experiences often help balance the trip, especially when the main itinerary already includes Burj Khalifa, desert safari, and city tours.

Al Fahidi Historical District Walk

This area gives a completely different side of Dubai through old lanes, wind towers, and preserved heritage architecture. It allows travellers to see what Dubai looked like before the skyscraper era, which many first-time visitors find surprisingly peaceful compared to the city’s modern zones.

Jumeirah Mosque Guided Visit

A cultural experience beyond regular sightseeing, this guided visit helps travellers understand local traditions, architecture, and customs in a much more meaningful way than simply viewing monuments from outside.

Dubai Creek Abra Ride

A simple local boat ride that remains one of the most authentic experiences in Dubai. Many travellers enjoy it because it feels traditional, affordable, and very different from the city’s luxury attractions.

La Mer Beach Walk

Ideal for a relaxed evening after sightseeing, especially for couples and travellers who want a slower time by the waterfront without fixed activity schedules.

Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary

A quiet place to spot flamingos inside the city, often surprising travellers because of how close it feels to Dubai’s urban skyline.

If You Want Something Beyond the Usual

  • Al Seef for old-style Dubai streets and cafés
  • Love Lake Dubai for a peaceful desert-side break
  • Hatta for mountains and kayaking
  • Al Qudra Desert for cycling and sunset views
  • Museum of the Future for futuristic exhibits and architecture

Thrillophilia Insight: Many Mumbai travellers now intentionally keep one evening free for slower places like Al Seef or La Mer, because it balances the more structured sightseeing days.

Insider Dubai Tips from Our Experts

A few practical choices can make the Dubai trip much smoother, especially for first-time travellers coming from Mumbai.

  • Book Burj Khalifa tickets for sunset slots early (4 PM to 6 PM) because these timings are most preferred, and prices often increase closer to the date.
  • Evening desert safari remains most popular, but morning safaris can feel less crowded and cooler.
  • No Card helps for independent transport, especially if you plan to use the metro or buses beyond package transfers.
  • Bargaining works better in Deira markets, especially in the Gold Souk and spice markets.
  • Carry a light scarf for mosque visits, particularly for cultural attractions like Jumeirah Mosque.
  • Duty-free shopping often gives better value, especially for perfumes, chocolates, and electronics, compared to city malls.

Travellers also often prefer keeping one less crowded day in the middle of the trip because Dubai’s attractions can feel tiring if scheduled too tightly.
