  • Ferrari World Abu Dhabi: Travellers often add this as a whole-day trip for longer Dubai-Abu Dhabi trips.
  • Dubai Parks & Resorts: Resort accommodation upgrade and park add-ons for kids for a traveller planning a Dubai tour package for families.
  • Premium Desert Safari Upgrades: A basic desert safari is included in all the Dubai tour packages from Mumbai, but often travellers pay extra for VIP seating, dune buggy rides, or a premium BBQ experience.
  • Lotus Mega Yacht Dinner Cruise: We have often seen couples choose this as a premium alternative to a standard dhow cruise. Shalini Arora, one of our verified travellers from Gurugram, who booked the Mumbai to Dubai Cruise Package, shared in March 2026 that "the Mumbai to Dubai cruise package travelling from Gurgaon to join this cruise was worth the extra leg. The sea journey itself was relaxing, and the ship facilities were excellent. Watching Dubai's skyline approach from the water on arrival morning was genuinely cinematic. The shore excursion to Old Dubai was well paced. Very different Dubai experience compared to flying in.”

How to Reach Dubai from Mumbai

The most convenient way to reach for a Dubai tour from Mumbai is by a non-stop direct flight from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The journey usually takes around 3 hours 25 minutes to 4 hours 40 minutes, and flights run throughout the day.

Airlines like Emirates, IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet operate regularly on this route. Many travellers prefer early-morning or late-night departures to save a full day for their Dubai travel packages from Mumbai.

From experience, Emirates is mainly chosen for comfort and smoother service, while IndiGo flights are preferred by travellers looking for affordable options.

Traveller Insight: It is always suggested to reach the airport at least 3 hours early and try to book tickets 2–3 weeks in advance for better fares and seat choices.

Dubai Tourist Visa for Indian Travellers

Indian passport holders require either a pre-approved electronic visa (e-visa) or a Visa on arrival to enter Dubai as tourists.

1. Pre-Approved Dubai e-Visa (Most Common)

If you do not hold special visas for other Western countries, you must apply for an e-Visa before flying. This visa is electronic, and you must carry a physical printout to the airport.

  • 30-Day Tourist Visa: Ideal for brief holidays. The Dubai trip from Mumbai costs ₹6,500 – ₹8,500 approximately.
  • 60-Day Tourist Visa: Best for extended family visits. The Dubai trip cost from Mumbai is generally within ₹11,500 – ₹14,000.
  • Processing Time: Usually takes 24 to 72 hours (1 to 3 working days).
  • How to Apply: You can self-file directly via the official GDRFA Dubai Portal or ICP Smart Services. Alternatively, your airline (Emirates, IndiGo) or a registered travel agent can process it for you.

2. Visa on Arrival (VoA) Eligibility

Indian nationals can get a 14-day or 60-day visa on arrival at Dubai immigration, provided they hold a specific, valid document from an approved country:

  • Eligible Documents: A valid visitor visa, residence permit, or Green Card issued by the United States (US), European Union (EU), Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, or South Korea.
  • Note: Indian passport holders who only hold a UK visa or UK residence permit are no longer eligible for visa on arrival and must apply for a pre-approved e-Visa online before boarding.
  • The Mumbai to Dubai Trip Cost: Roughly AED 172.50 (~₹4,000) for a 14-day stay.

Mandatory Document Checklist

Regardless of the visa path you take, you must present the following at immigration:

  • Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months from your travel date.
  • Photographs: Passport-sized colour photos against a white background.
  • Flight Tickets: A confirmed return ticket proving you will exit the UAE.
  • Accommodation: Proof of hotel reservation or a letter from a resident sponsor.
  • Finances: Proof of sufficient funds to sustain your stay.

Best Time to Visit Dubai from Mumbai

For most Mumbai travellers, the ideal time to visit Dubai is between November and March, because the weather remains pleasant and outdoor sightseeing becomes much more comfortable during these months. Temperatures usually stay between 14°C and 25°C, which makes it easier to explore outdoor attractions without getting tired in the heat.

Ajay Sharma, one of our verified travellers from Hyderabad who booked the Discover Dubai | City of Gold Highlights package, shared in March 2026 that “Dubai Getaway is a short trip, but 3 nights in Dubai are also enough if the itinerary is tight. Dhow dinner, Burj Khalifa, and the desert are three core experiences to do. Partner loved the JBR beach walk in the evening, something we hadn't planned but found on our own. The hotel gave a complimentary upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. One activity was cancelled due to weather, but the agency refunded without drama.”

1. Peak Season (November to March)

This is when Dubai feels most comfortable for travellers and remains the most preferred travel season across package bookings. Desert safaris, beach visits, Marina evenings, walking tours, and outdoor attractions are best enjoyed during this period because the temperature remains manageable throughout the day and evening.

An added advantage is the Dubai Shopping Festival, usually held during December and January, when the city becomes more active with large shopping discounts, concerts, fireworks, and seasonal events. Many travellers intentionally align their trip with this period because they get both sightseeing and shopping benefits together.

Thrillophilia Insight: Around 65–70% of Mumbai travellers choose this season because it offers the smoothest overall travel experience, especially for families and first-time visitors.

2. In-Between Season (April to May and September to October)

This period is often chosen by travellers looking for slightly better hotel pricing and fewer crowds while still keeping the trip comfortable. Temperatures begin rising, but sightseeing remains manageable if outdoor activities are planned during mornings or evenings.

Travellers who prefer a more relaxed city experience often choose this season because attractions feel less crowded compared to the winter months. Hotels and flights also tend to offer better pricing during this period, which makes it attractive for budget-conscious travellers.

3. Off-Season (June to August)

Dubai tour package from Mumbai prices are lower during this period, and many travellers choose it specifically for premium hotel offers and to reduce the cost of a Dubai trip from Mumbai. Dubai remains extremely hot during summer, so travellers usually shift toward indoor attractions such as malls, aquariums, indoor entertainment zones, museums, and air-conditioned experiences.

For travellers who do not mind heat and plan carefully, summer can still work well because Dubai’s infrastructure is designed to handle extreme weather comfortably indoors.

From Our Travel Experience: Families and couples usually enjoy November to February the most because outdoor comfort stays high, while solo travellers often choose April or September because of lower crowd levels and better price flexibility for the Dubai holiday packages from Mumbai.

Top Places to Cover in Dubai Tour Packages from Mumbai

Plan your top places to visit in Dubai as per your duration and budget for a comfortable and suitable Dubai tour package from Mumbai

Burj Khalifa

The most visited attraction in almost every itinerary, Burj Khalifa remains the centrepiece of most first-time Dubai trips. Standing as the tallest building in the world, it is usually one of the first attractions travellers prioritise while planning their Dubai visit. The observation decks on the 124th and 125th floors of Burj Khalifa offer wide views of the city skyline, desert stretches, and coastline, making it one of Dubai’s most photographed experiences.

Sunset slots are especially preferred because travellers get both daylight and night skyline views in one visit. Many travellers also combine this with nearby attractions like the Dubai Mall and the Dubai Fountain Show, which makes the overall experience more convenient without extra travel time.

For first-time visitors, Burj Khalifa often becomes the highlight because it gives an immediate sense of Dubai’s scale and modern city planning.

Dubai Marina

Evening experiences at Dubai Marina are highly preferred because of the skyline, waterfront atmosphere, and cruise dinners. This area is one of Dubai’s most visually active zones, where high-rise buildings, yachts, and illuminated walkways create a completely different mood after sunset.

Many travellers include a dhow cruise dinner at Dubai Marina because it combines sightseeing with a relaxed evening meal while moving through the marina waters. The cruise experience usually includes city views, dinner, and entertainment, making it one of the most popular first-evening activities after arrival.

Dubai Marina also works well for travellers who prefer a slower evening after a full day of sightseeing.

Dubai Frame

A strong visual contrast between old Dubai and modern Dubai makes the Dubai Frame one of the most recommended attractions in many itineraries. Built as a giant architectural frame, it allows travellers to view both sides of Dubai from one elevated structure, with the older traditional areas on one side and the modern skyline on the other.

This attraction has become popular because it visually explains how Dubai has evolved, which many first-time visitors find more meaningful than expected.

The glass walkway at the top also adds a unique viewing experience that many travellers specifically look forward to.

Palm Jumeirah

Palm Jumeirah remains a major highlight for travellers who want iconic Dubai views and premium photo locations. Known for its artificial palm-shaped design, it represents one of Dubai’s most recognisable engineering landmarks.

Many itineraries now include The View at Palm Jumeirah, where travellers get elevated panoramic views of the island layout, the surrounding coastline, and the nearby skyline.

Palm Jumeirah is especially preferred by couples and travellers looking for premium visual experiences because the area naturally offers some of Dubai’s most polished city views.

AYA Universe

AYA Universe is a newer attraction that has quickly become popular for its immersive indoor visual experience. It combines digital art, light installations, sound effects, and themed spaces designed to feel interactive rather than traditional sightseeing.

Travellers often prefer AYA Universe because it gives a very different experience compared to Dubai’s outdoor landmarks. It is especially popular among younger travellers, families, and people interested in photography because almost every section offers visually unique setups.

Since it is fully indoors, many travellers also choose it during warmer months.

Ferrari World

Ferrari World is often chosen by travellers adding Abu Dhabi to their itinerary for thrill-based attractions. It remains one of the most popular theme parks in the UAE because of its high-speed rides, indoor comfort, and wide appeal for both adults and families.

The biggest attraction is Formula Rossa, known for being one of the fastest roller coasters in the world.

Even travellers who are not strongly interested in theme parks often include Ferrari World because it adds a completely different energy to the trip compared to sightseeing-heavy days.

Best Dubai Experiences to Include in Your Package

These are the best things to do in Dubai for your Dubai tour package from Mumbai

Desert Safari

When in a desert, a safari experience is something you simply cannot miss out on. With only the golden sand as far as your eyes can see, multiple adventure activities in Dubai suit all types of travellers. If you’re more of a leisure traveller, go for a campsite feast at night with your accommodation in a traditional Bedouin-style tent. Enjoy belly dancing, Tanoura performances, and falconry performances after your dinner feast. You can also ride camels and go sandboarding if you are more of an adventurous person.

Jet Skiing and Parasailing

You can either rent a jet ski from Dubai Marina or Jumeirah Beach, depending on your ease of travel. For both parasailing and jet skiing, you are provided with equipment and an instructor (shared/private), depending on the package you choose. For sea-loving adventure enthusiasts, this is one of the best activities to enjoy on their Dubai trip.

Quad Biking

This is a thrilling self-drive activity that lets you explore the unique desert terrains of the Arabian Desert. You can choose between a quick ride across the dunes or a longer adventure deeper into the desert. It is very beginner-friendly, with the minimum age requirement being 14-16 years, and a guide is provided with all bookings.

Skydiving

Although free-falling over places like Jumeirah Beach from an aircraft sounds terrifying, it's one of the safest and most popular experiences in Dubai, as noted by our travellers. For beginners, go for tandem jumps where a safety harness is attached to a certified instructor. If you are experienced, go for solo jumps and free-fall at a speed of 120 miles per hour. The most popular tandem skydives are at the Palm Drop Zone (approx. INR 68,000) or the Desert Campus.

Best Dishes to Try in a Dubai tour package from Mumbai

Dubai is a blend of traditional Bedouin foods and global foods. If you are on a Dubai trip, as per our past travellers' suggestions, we recommend a few dishes for you to try.

  1. Al Machboos: This is a national dish of the UAE, long-grain basmati rice cooked with slow-simmered meat. The dish is heavy with local spices like dried lime, cardamom, cloves, and saffron.
  2. AI Harees: This is a century-old, comforting dish. Made by boiling cracked wheat with meat, usually lamb, over a slow flame for hours to mix perfectly, it's garnished with a layer of ghee.
  3. Tharid: Slow-cooked lamb with vegetable stew preparation served over layers of thin regag flatbread.
  4. Shawarma Roll: Dubai's famous street food, wrapped in chicken or beef cut in thin vertical slices with spices added to garlic paste and rolled tightly.

Indian Restaurants in Dubai

  • Tresind Studio: A three-Michelin-star dining experience. Located in Nakheel Mall, Palm Jumeirah.
  • Rasoi Ghar Restaurant: A mid-range pure vegetarian restaurant located opposite the Bur Juman Centre, Bur Dubai. Best for its Rajasthani and Gujarati thalis. Easily available fresh curries, dal, rotis, and traditional desserts.
  • Bombay Borough: Mumbai travellers often love this place for its trendy and modern ambience. Best for lunch or a night out. Their famous dishes are three-cheese chili kulcha and smoked Jodhpur mutton.
  • Ravi Restaurant: A budget dining option, serving traditional North Indian-style dishes. Famous for chicken tikka, mutton peshawari, and butter naan at a budget-friendly price.

Amazing Dubai Abu Dhabi package ekdum mast itinerary bhai. Yas Island in Abu Dhabi was two days worth of activity in one Yas Waterworld and Ferrari World back to back. Dubai leg was more sightseeingfocused, good balance. Full paisa vasool the hotel breakfast buffet which had authentic Arabic options I'd never tried before. One activity slightly deviated from what was described online but thrillophilia was transparent about it and offered an alternative.
