Dhow Wharfage

The Dubai Dhow Wharfage area is fabulous and offers sightseeing with a real sense of adventure. Steeped in history and stretching gloriously along the Creek bank, north of Maktoum Bridge are countless creaking wooden dhows, moored in time-honored tradition to load and unload their diverse cargoes from all over the region. 


Bursting with colour, activity and character, the Dhow Wharfage area is home to a way of life that has remained intact since Dubai’s earliest days. Deira set along the creek is a testament to Dubai’s lively past. Rich in culture and heritage, this is one place you must visit to get a feel of its vibrant authenticity. Hang around long enough and you might be invited to hop on board for a chat and a cup of tea.

Mushrif Park

Located 15 kms away from the city centre of Dubai lies this oldest park in Dubai. Mushriff Park was opened in 1980’s but went through a major makeover and is now one of the most visited park in Dubai. Invoke in some activities like swimming, horse riding, kids playing area, cycling etc. There is also a space for events and also a display of miniature architecture of the continents. The desert like park is around 1300 acres and is the most favorite spot for the people living in Al Khanweej, Mirdiff and Al Mizhar.

Highlights: The Mushriff Park is just 5 minutes’ drive away from the desert camp and so it is an ideal place for a long night stay.

Desert Conservation Reserve

The Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve is an initiative by the Dubai Government that allows you to spend a good amount of time camping at the deserts of Dubai (over 9 in number) and dine in the company of night stars which are primarily organized to experience a Bedouin lifestyle. Over here, you can experience falcon shows, camel rides and several other activities that will get you to the true essence of Dubai.


Location: The office is located on the Airport road and they will take you to the desert where you can participate in a variety of activities. 

Highlights: This reserve provides an array of activities such as Falconry, Archery, Horse Riding, Dune Driving, Camping, Hookah. 

Approximate Price: A 5-hour tour will cost you around 150 AED per head.

Hatta Heritage Village

Located in the Al Hajar Mountains, on the outskirts of Dubai city, the Hatta Heritage Village shows the traveler the beautiful traditional life in Dubai. You will get to observe the strong attachment of the people who hail from this old town, people whose ancestors were farmers and handicraft men. The other significance also lies in the houses that you will see here, which were built from mountain rocks in the old year. There are over 17 houses, 2 castles and even a fortress here that you can revel in. You can explore the sculptures here as well and enjoy the folklore, the songs and the performances that grace the village every night.

Dubai Village

Bur Dubai Village, also known as the Dubai Heritage Village is located near the mouth of Dubai Creek that takes tourist back in time through a series of heritage villages complete with recreated architecture and local artisans. For patrons, the village is a great place to find unique handmade items to take home as souvenirs or gifts. 

Highlights: The vicinity offers many places to stroll around like Pottery shopping, visit traditional markets and enjoy live performances of Arabian folklore such as Raza, Ayyala, and Harbeya 

Timings: It is opened every day from 08:00 to 20: 00, however on Fridays many shops will be closed as the operational hours are 15:00 to 22:00. 

Getting There: You can reach the location through the Ghubaiba bus and train station nearby.

Guru Nanak Darbar

Guru Nanak Darbar is built in the demand from the Sikh community for a dedicated place of worship. The Gurudwara is believed to be the first of its kind in the entire region. It has a dedicated floor for a community feasts for about 5,000 people at a time and a huge hall for devotional songs. The main prayer hall of the new Gurudwara has a 7.2-metre high ceiling and 18-metre diameter dome roof. The function hall can accommodate up to 900 people. 

Location: It is located in Jebel Ali which is around 35 km from Dubai center. Taxi is the best mode of transportation to reach the temple. The closest metro station is Ibn Batuta.

SEGA Republic

Burj Beach

With the panoramic view of the Burj al Arab in the milieu, the Burj Beach is another famous beach having a huge sandy stretch. With a number of volleyball nets and large open area for playing various sports, the beach is very popular amidst sports lovers. So pack your bags and have a relaxing day at the beach with a beautiful setting. The access to the beach is not chargeable.


Highlights: There are volleyball nets and barbecues on the beach. There is also a water sports club which offers water skiing, wake boarding, banana boating and other activities.

The Palm and World Islands

Palm Islands are a set of 2 artificial islands mainly the Palm Jumeirah and the Palm Jebel Ali. Tourists can get a chance to visit Palm Jumeirah, as it is the only completed Island. The island takes the shape of a palm tree. The World Islands is a series of various small islands that has been constructed in the shape of a rough world map. The best way to view the Palm Islands is from the air or atop one of Dubai’s many high-rise skyscrapers, such as the Observation Deck at the BurjKhalifa. 

Highlights: To tour the islands you could take a Speedboat at Palm Jumeirah to visit some of the major attractions in the vicinity.

Dubai Aquarium

The 10-million liter Dubai Aquarium tank, located on the Ground Level of The Dubai Mall, is the largest suspended aquariums in the world. It houses thousands of aquatic animals, comprising over 140 species. Over 300 sharks and rays live in this tank, including the largest collection of Sand tiger sharks in the world. There are numerous ways for visitors to experience the main Aquarium tank, which measures 51 meters in length, 20 meters in width and 11 meters in height. Walk through the 48-metre Aquarium Tunnel on Ground Level, and explore the Rainforest, rocky shore living ocean environments and UAE night creature at the Underwater Zoo on Level 2.

Underwater Hotel Dubai

Underwater suites are the epitome of luxury and elite uniqueness and what better place to indulge in the finer things in life other than Dubai? Hydropolis Under Water Hotel in Dubai is still not open to the public but bookings are open. 

The hotel will consist of three parts, The ‘Land Post’ where visitors will be greeted, the ‘Subway’ which will connect guests to the main hotel and the ‘220 suites’ all deep under the sea.  

The hotel owners are positive that post opening the hotel will be able to greet around 3500 guests a day. The hotel's plan is to cover an area of 260 hectares, which is equivalent in area to Hyde Park in London. 

The construction cost for Hydropolis is approximately € 600 million Euro, which will make Hydropolis one of the most expensive hotels ever created.

KidZania in Dubai Mall

Inside the Dubai Mall is a tiny replica of a real city where kids can role-play adult professions, from firefighters to car dealers and much more. From fighting “fires” and investigating “criminals” to flipping burgers and selling cars, let your little ones role-play in realistic settings at KidZania. The interactive entertainment and education center is a scaled facility that enables children to experience how adults view and participate in the world. KidZania’s streets are flagstone with shops, offices, factories, restaurants, a bank, hospital and fire station with settings for children between 4 to 16 years can live out their dream job with 80 role-playing activities to choose from. During their job shifts, the kids wear uniforms and are paid in KidZania’scurrency.

Al Mamzar Beach

Al Mamzar Park is home to beautiful beaches and acres of green fields, making it one of Dubai’s hidden gems. Whether you want to stroll on the beach or swim in the pool, picnic on the lawns or skate in the park, there’s no shortage of activities to do. The array of facilities at this beautiful park by the sea makes it a hit with water sports lovers, beach goers, families, and groups looking for fun in the sun.Mondays and Wednesdays are for women and children only. It's about 6.5km from the nearest metro station. 


Highlights: This lushly landscaped beach park consists of a string of five lovely sandy sweeps and comes with plenty of infrastructures, including a swimming pool, playgrounds, water sports rentals, barbecues, grassy areas and air-conditioned cabanas. There are also sun loungers and umbrellas for rent but food outlets are minimal so you might want to bring a picnic.

Aquaventure Waterpark
