THIRUPPULLANI

The Adi Jagannatha Sanctuary is a South Indian Hindu sanctuary dedicated to Hindu god Vishnu in Thiruppullani, a village within the edges of Ramanathapuram in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is designed in the iconic dravidian style of architecture  with intricately carved deities on the exterior of the structure and also a unique multicolored selection of paints have been chosen to decorate the temple. This interesting approach has made this temple recognisable for any tourists visiting Rameshwaram.

This Sanctuary also has other facets such as a huge water reservoir adjacent to the temple which  symbolizes as a holy place by worshippers and is a highly recommended place to visit in Rameshwaram to  take in the vast beauty of this temple city which is nestled in the village of Thiruppullani.

Timing: 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM / 3:30PM to 8:30PM  (Monday to Sunday).

Best time to visit: Early morning or late Afternoon, temperatures become very hot in the middle of the day.
