Damlatas Magarasi Overview

Damlatas Magarasi, which literally means “Cave of Dripping Stones”, is one of the must-see places to visit in Antalya. The cave was discovered accidentally in 1948 during an excavation operation to supply stones for Alanya harbor. The eerie ambiance, thousands of stalactites and stalagmites along with shady dim lighting in the cave imparts a spooky and unforgettable experience.

An interesting theory doing rounds is that the cave has the potential of curing asthma and other respiratory complaints. It is even referred to as “asthma-cure-cave”. The cave is kept open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. every morning for asthma patients. They are required to stay inside the cave for 4 hours every day for 21 days. Explore this unique phenomenon as part of your Turkey holiday packages, discovering the intriguing health benefits tied to the cave's atmosphere.
