About The Royal Armouries

The Royal Armoury is one of the world's oldest museums, housing a collection of over 75,000 objects dating back to the 12th century. The museum tells the story of the development of arms and armor from medieval times to the present day, through a series of interactive displays and hands-on exhibits. 

Visitors can try on armor, handle weapons, and even fire a crossbow. The Royal Armouries is also home to the world's largest collection of Tudor artifacts, including arms and armor used by Henry VIII and his court.

It is a relatively new museum, intending to make arms and armor accessible to all, and has been a Grade I listed building since 1988.
